I find it funny when people complain about how fast James speaks, it's almost perfect in fact he's the only RUclipsr I can watch without feeling like I need to turn up the playback speed.
My son shyly asked me about make up today and said he wanted to know how to wear it. He is 13. Quick search and I showed him this video. He found it really helpful and funny and he was so comfortable afterwards. He's just started to get pimples so we've ordered him facial wash, a moisturiser and a concealer to start with. Thank you for making this whole 'make-up' world so accessible and inclusive for him.
I like how James doesn’t sugarcoat anything and will stand for his believes. Which also includes saving our money by purchasing something way more affordable for the same function and result.
I had a guy friend in school who suffered with acne bad and he’d sneak into the girls bathroom hall with us all the time to chitchat and one day he had a horrible breakout and I was in there doing my makeup and he asked me if it would cover up his acne and I said yes of course like bitch what do u think I’m doing covering up my flaws and I said come here I’ll show u and I put it on him and blended it real well and he was shocked at how u couldn’t even tell he had it on after that I bought well gave him a couple of my things and showed him how to do it and also showed him a really good skin care routine and he did this daily no guys ever noticed and to this day I think he still does!
As a man I would honestly love to see more videos like this from you... Especially just a simple basic tutorial. just please really dumb it down, because I have no idea what you're doing half the time, I usually just come for the comedy and art. Love you

I totally agree. I (as a generally conventionally-acting guy) have super washed-out eyebrows and honestly I really like giving them a slightly darker color to give better structure to my face. I use the brow pots from ABH or KVD and they work fantastically for me. I couldn't give a single damn that the majority of people who buy from these brands are women, or even that they are often marketed more to women. End of the day these products are freaking bomb and I get great results from them, and that's all I want.

I think the concealer is awesome. I hate when my mom says shit like “put some makeup on, your under eyes are so dark” while my brother has the same thing and she says nothing.
To be honest, concealer seems the most "normal" if someone thought makeup was for women only, my stepdad wore concealer until he got it in his eye once, and he can be very sexist and is VERY “masculine”

As a man who has watched and appreciated make up from a far wishing for the confidence to try it out on myself. I understand why these products exist. Its for guys like me who lack the confidence to rock "normal" make up. Its to gives us a sense that these are made just for me so it can now wear it without fearing some sort of judgement.

I feel like the makeup industry is working toward being inclusive and these “men’s makeup” lines aren’t helping the progression. Having “men’s makeup” lines imply that all other makeup is for women. Why are we still drawing lines? Makeup is for everyone-it’s gender neutral.
i thought that too when i first heard it and i still do to an extent, i think the whole war paint thing is just a ridiculous gender stereotype while this whole thing is trying to break them, but i do understand james point in that it would make the average male feel more confident about starting makeup.
I completely disagree. Even in magazine photos, men’s makeup is fundamentally different to that of women’s. No lipstick, lashes, drawing eyebrows, eyeshadow etc. The whole concept of male makeup is to be a product that can primarily enhance your skin and your facial shape (through contouring). The war paint idea is brilliant to create a concept of masculinity and attractiveness found in the male face through makeup.
That’s the thing, you don’t need to be a man to use “men’s makeup” and you don’t need to be a woman to try any makeup. It’s all the same thing, just different packaging.

I feel like the makeup industry is working toward being inclusive and these “men’s makeup” lines aren’t helping the progression. Having “men’s makeup” lines imply that all other makeup is for women. Why are we still drawing lines? Makeup is for everyone-it’s gender neutral.
i thought that too when i first heard it and i still do to an extent, i think the whole war paint thing is just a ridiculous gender stereotype while this whole thing is trying to break them, but i do understand james point in that it would make the average male feel more confident about starting makeup.

I completely disagree. Even in magazine photos, men’s makeup is fundamentally different to that of women’s. No lipstick, lashes, drawing eyebrows, eyeshadow etc. The whole concept of male makeup is to be a product that can primarily enhance your skin and your facial shape (through contouring). The war paint idea is brilliant to create a concept of masculinity and attractiveness found in the male face through makeup.
I got seriously concerned when I saw how red James’ face was got when he put on the mask lmao. Then I realized it was the freckles👁👄👁
