With that kind of a premise, the mistakes we’ve seen especially scoring is understandable. Apart from that, any good coach will be proud of this team for the following reasons. First is the obvious courage to play the game irrespective of who the opposing team is. That makes them fearless and makes them rise above pressure when playing against tournament favorites. Secondly, I love their ball possession ability. Did anyone noticed that they always like to play the ball on the ground rather than just doing the long balls. Even when defending , they still try to maintain that composure. Thirdly, they can only get better match after match. I know the World Cup is November, a lot of friendly with other top countries will fine tune their winning formula. At this stage they are very adaptable and open to correction and instruction because they are trying to become a better version of themselves. I believe we not seen the best of this talented team yet and I wish them good success in all their remaining matches.
This team is going nowhere at the World Cup. If real players weren't added, if this set of players were the players that played in the WAFU championship, we could not have qualified. Making use of chances is what makes a team a good team. Defense is horrible; no natural left just like Chukwueze, Iheanoacho, etc.; in modern football, a good team must have such players.

Nduka Ugbade should do better as a coach. Our u17 teams don’t play like this team. It’s a joke watching those boys play. No coordination, poor link up play, weak defense, short passes that don’t get to team mates etc. I guess we will take the win but we are way better than these boys have displayed at this tournament. Ugbade has not impressed me, to say the least.
