Lara Fabian is an inspiration for Dimash. She wrote Adagio, which Dimash covers. She also wrote Broken Vow, which Josh Groban covers. She is this emotive with every song she performs. My favourite is Perdere l'Amore. She is Belgium born with Canadian citizenship but also has connections with many other countries. Cheers!
@@KaliFlamingoin fact the work was composed by a 20th-century musicologist and Albinoni biographer named Remo Giazotto in 1671. Then, Lara co-wrote the lyrics in 1999 with Rick Allison and Dave Pickell. (only for clarification).
@@claudettefasciano4165 Yes, I'm aware of that. Anyone that knows anything about music knows this is a famouse work, they just might not realize that Lara wrote the lyrics.
More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Aretha, Shirley Bassey, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 10,000+ attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for 200+ songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music, and is at the source of the melodic line. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, her father is flemish and grand mother on father side is dutch, but she also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( the father of her mother is from Detroit). She had been raised in Sicilia first for 7 years then in Belgium so she speaks both italian and french as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She only moved away from opera to pop because she is first and foremost a songwriter. After her Eurovision participation in 1988 (4th), she really started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She had been living for years in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship. She moved to Sicilia end of 2022. She became very famous in Quebec in the early 90s with several double platine records and then conquered France in 1996/1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, stayed number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for 58 weeks in a row and was number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary, packed with masterpieces (covered by many great vocalists later on). But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar through her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is absolutely massive in Russia for instance. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace", used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera, topped the charts for months and become a recurrent in the local singing contests since then. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), Linda Eder, … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: • I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. • He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara. Out of my mind I can list: ○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version) ○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know") • She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love". • And she covered "Love is like a dream" before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva). • Finally, they also performed "Ti Amo Cosi" together, in trio with Aida Garafulina: this is a song that she performed originally with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Sumi Jo then again later with Dmitri and Alina Yarovaya, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy: Igor and Dimash connected after his Adagio cover, also endorsed by Lara. Igor came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him after it. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration (singers from every region in the world: from China and Taiwan, to Philippines, Indonesia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Netherlands, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, Italy, France, Belgium, Norway, UK, USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Central Africa, …) ○ Floor Jansen (Adagio), ○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), ○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), ○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), ○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), ○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), ○ Charice Penpengco (Adagio), ○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow), ○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow), ○ Dmitri Hvorostovsky (Adagio), ○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime), ○ Forestella (Je suis Malade), ○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), ○ Gigi de Lana (Broken Vow) ○ Julie Anne san Jose (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Rimar ( Adagio, Broken Vow, Know), ○ Il Divo (Adagio) ○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you), ○ Sarah Geronimo (Broken Vow) ○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso), ○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie), ○ Harrison Craig (Broken Vow), ○ Amir (Je t’aime), ○ Pauline Aguirre (Adagio)), ○ George Peris (Broken Vow, Humana), ○ Vitas (Adagio), ○ Wanessa Camargo (Love by Grace), ○ Anastasia Luna (Adagio), ○ Jeck (Je T’Aime), ○ Evgenia Fanfara (Adagio), ○ Anne Sila (pas sans toi, Tu es mon autre), ○ The Canadian Tenors (Adagio), ○ Anna Eriksson (Je suis malade), ○ Choi Sung Hoon (Je suis malade), ○ Soprano Turetsky band (Adagio), ○ Sarah Naura Irbah (Mademoiselle Hyde), ○ Elisabetta Rinaldi (Adagio), ○ Alyona Yarushina (Adagio), ○ Marie Payet (Pas sans toi), ○ Laurh (Immortelle), ○ Inger Lise Hope (Adagio), ○ Håkon Sønsterud Tollefsrød (Broken Vow), ○ Flora Tandi (Bambina), ○ Cindy Chao (Yeliel My Angel), ○ Majda Roumi (Adagio), ○ Abraham Mateo (Adagio), ○ Petra Berger (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Russel Watson (Adagio), ○ Katerina Maslova (Je t’aime, I guess I loved you) ○ Annointed (Love by Grace), ○ Sevara Nazarkhan (Je t’aime) ○ .... NB: Lara did cover Caruso , Je suis malade, and Love by grace, these are not her originals, but I mention these here as the related artists were attracted to cover it again after listening to Lara’s version. Today, Lara still has an amazing voice and tone and can still reach the 5th octave with resonance ; she still offers these emotive renditions that are her unique signature. In June 2022, she kicked off a WW tour and stunned her fans once again with 5 magical concerts in Canada. She completed the europe part in September/October 2022 and I attended a concert from this tour. It was packed and she was again spectacular. On April, May, June 2023 she had again some wonderful concerts in Tbilissi, Georgia, then in Ouzbekhistan, Kazakhstan, Romania. She is about to release a new album and just completed another popular tour in eastern europe (Czech Republic, Moldavia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkiye, Hungary) and in Canada in april-june 2024. She also appeared as a guest in some big events such as Hauser’s concert in Royal Albert Hall (May 9th 2024). Then, after some rest and a few TV Shows, she will tour France in 2025. The first song of her new album (titled "Ta Peine" - Your Sorrow) was released late January 2024 and is a success in France. The second “Je t’ai cherché”(I looked for you) was released early october 2024, another success! Her album is expected to be released in on Nov 29. Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.
I was really surprised Lara was given such a low profile during the recent Paris Olympics while Celine was lip-synching the opening ceremony song because her voice is gone. Lara could have done it for real live. In my opinion better also.
This performance makes me feel genuinely bad for anyone who ever tries to sing this song publicly again. The gondola to Olympus already reached the peak. 💯
@@JustMyOpinion1010 I get the distinct impression that something about Adele makes marginally talented singers think they can do what she does. Meanwhile, she's got Celine Dion weeping with joy at her shows, but for some reason, if there's a contestant on a singing show with an octave's worth of range, by gad, they're going for Rolling in the Deep or some other track that requires actual skill. It would be beyond shocking to hear that anyone watched this performance, then was delulu enough to think: Oh, yeah, get me a mic, I'ma do THAT.
@@user-xz1ko4eg9q I do not see the relevance of talking about other singers here. The one who is celebrated is Lara. can we leave it at that ?! FOR ONCE ?!!!?!! Sad response after you so rightly pointed out that no one without genuine vocal skills and emotional maturity should tackle that song. Not to mention that I find it embarrassing that female vocalists attempt to sing the song in front of Lara...
@@mariannab6906 The only green room I can imagine that wouldn't be having panic attacks backstage while Dimash performs would be Vitas and Yma Sumac. 😉
“Je suis Malade”, now a french classic, was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973. This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …). When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and composed the music in a couple of hours. The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes. Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, it started to be promoted on the radio, and the song was brought to fame only when, a few months after, Dalida covered it. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad. But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s. At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet during his own Paris concert in January 1995. It was a triumph. So he sat in a front row seat and asked her to sing it again alone. Lara also had made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power. Serge and Lara became good friends and performed several other duets later on. The 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal) ruclips.net/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/видео.html is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries. The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella. Lara is used to perform the song very differently in each of her tour and for instance the En Toute Intimité, 2003, Paris Olympia version is even more dramatic ruclips.net/video/SyILdRAOS88/видео.html
En toute Intimite version is a must. It reminds me of stories of great martial art masters who could win you even not touching. Lara smashes it even without singing!
I went to Budapest in the spring of this year. A live concert of Lara Fabian AND a live concert of Dimash, all in one week. Most intense week of my life. Both are masters of emotion in their performances. Drained AND recharged my batteries all at once. Just heaven!
Lara Fabian is a genius, I can't get enough of her music and I would have been very happy if she came to Budapest, but she gave a concert in Bucharest.
Any language she sings, she is the ultimate Queen, still today at 54yo, she owns the stage with her voice, beauty and performance, in an other league by herself Lara Fabian is certainly one of the most complete artists of the beginning of this century. Recognised as such from Montreal to Moscow by way of Paris. It's sad that, the USA has not followed the career of this incredible artist, author, composer and performer

You are the luckiest guy first time listening to Lara Fabian . She is spellbindning..she steals your heart at once. After listening to her for the first time on the tube I decided i have to se her live. After a year or so I discovered that she was having a concert in Tallin Estonia. I flew ower and man that evning and her concert was something else. (October 2022) She is my favorite female singer of all time. Ok..Floor Jansen is up there with her. Thanks for a great reaction. Cheers from a finn in Sweden.
This entire concert in Montreal was worth watching, but another standout from the night is Caruso. Lara’s mother is Italian, so the language comes natural to her. Honestly breathtaking.
You can see why the absolutely one and only and amazing Dimash holds her in such great esteem. She sings with him on Ti Amo Cosi and she wrote the lyrics for his song Your Love that Igor Krutoy composed...
You need to hear You are not from here, fron the same concert Lara with love. Is absolutely amazing. I knew Lara because Dimash. And both two are the greatest vocalists in this planet
Only discovered her this year myself, and the second I found out she was going to be on tour, I bought my ticket and booked my flight. Greatest voice/performer I have ever seen or likely will ever see on a stage. Absolutely unforgettable. If you ever get the chance to see her live, do whatever you have to to make it happen.
Omgosh YES! I’m so glad you’re listening and reacting to Lara. She’s as good as any singer that’s ever sung and her acting far surpasses that of most if not all other singers. Her performances of Adagio and Caruso from this same show are absolute perfection. I love that you are listening to your audience. There’s a collective wisdom amongst reaction audiences as to where the truly astounding performances are online. I have found so much great music just by noticing tracks/artists that have numerous reactors creating reactions to them. Thanks again, love your insights, Be Well 🙏🏻
Always interesting to watch someone discover our beloved Lara, specially with this performance. She is in our opinion the finest female vocalist ever. Every song and every performance is like it's meant for you and you alone. Be prepared to flooded with suggestions and requests!
OHHH, finally. That's how I found Dimash. Because I was listening this song over and over again, I adore Lara Fabian. Dimash adores Lara Fabian too, she even wrote a song to him btw....and so the yt algorythm connected the 2 artist for me. Lara Fabian is a goddess.
Check out Adagio form the same concert to get a view on her range, but also Caruso, You're Not From Here or Broken Vow. That concert is legendary for a reason.
Lara is amazing...'Caruso' is probably my favourite. She was Dimash's Idol since he was little and you can see why.He performed with her only once so far..'Ti amo Cosy',beautiful!😊
I don't think I've ever watched a first reaction of any of her performances who didn't become an instant fan, regardless of their background....singer, vocal coach, it doesn't matter. Though I will admit it's the best to watch someone who really knows what they are witnessing react to her for the first time. It must be like watching a master work in the medium you know so well. Next could be her version of Caruso (from that same concert collection (From Lara with Love) and also a song she wrote (and sings in English, one of her many languages) called Broken Vow.
Lara's concerts have been and will continue to be a benchmark for the French-speaking world. You have discovered the very beautiful, very strong but always velvety voice in her entire 4.2 octave range of Lara Fabian .... Emotional singing, endless breath control, clear singing, effortless singing without strange faces, no vibrations in her voice etc etc ... Always a joy to listen to and watch all day long. Liquid gold for the ear . Lara is an underrated pop singer especially in the US and who is mentioned in vocal power in the row with Withny, Celine and Mariah
👉 Lara Fabian, *1970, is a world famous Belgian-Canadian singer, songwriter, musician, actress and producer. She is Belgian but also has Italian roots (her mother is from Sicily). She grew up in both countries and therefore speaks both French and Italian as her mother tongue. She was classically trained in singing, piano and song composition for 10 years (from 8 to 18) at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. To this day she has singing lessons and trains several times a week. She started her career in Canada in the early 1990s. She now lives in Montreal and also has Canadian citizenship. She is fluent in 4 languages (French, Italian, English, Spanish) and has sung in a total of 12 languages. She has sold over 20 million records worldwide as of September 2017 and is one of the best-selling Belgian artists of all time. In 2000, Lara launched her triumphal procession in the US, but a falling out with Sony over her artistic direction and the will of Celine Dion's management to block her path to the US thwarted that plan. She therefore focused on Europe again and had great success there, expanding her reach to Eastern Europe and Asia where she became an absolute superstar through her many years of collaboration with Igor Krutoy. She's also a star in Brazilia. Many of their songs are now classics and are covered by other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban... The US is now rediscovering her through her covers of Lara Fabian songs. She is Dimash's idol. He has covered some of her songs. Thanks for your great reaction to this wonderful artist !! She is out of this world!!! Please react to more of her music , Adagio, Broken Vow , You’re Not From Here!! And I love “For Always “(John Williams)
Tank you for your reaction. This singer is real amazing. She sing in english, italian, and french as well as you have ear now. She is poligloter. I want suggest you ADAGIO, a song written in 1750 from Tomaso Albinoni and she has make a modern version in english and italian i the same concert you come to see
Ciao e tanti saluti.

Lara is the equivalent of Celine in Europe (for me even better regarding the emotional aspect of performance). Lara is an IDOL for Dimash and she was a muse of Igor for a while and then Igor discovered Dimash. Lara and Dimash have performed many songs written by Igor and even performed one together called TI AMO COSI . She has also written the lyrics of an Igor composition to be performed by Dimash called YOUR LOVE.❤❤

Hi, Tim. I am sixty-seven years old and I have been following Lara Fabian for a good while now. She has become my Queen. She had great influence on Dimash. She is confirmed to be his biggest idol. If you haven't checked him out yet, please do. Please, Eric Sicard below in your comment section provide you with extensive information about Lara. I strongly recommend that you follow up on any of his suggestions. A,wonderful reaction. I will check for more of your reaction videos. Thank you so much.
An Incomparable performer, artist, songwriter, composer, etc. And even more an incomparable human being. Lara Fabian is unapologetically true to her values in everything she does. Her love and compassion for the human race is admirable and she is able to take you on her journey through music.🙌❤️🙏🌺
Wow! What an amazing singer. I only discovered her through Dimash. How had I not heard of her before that? I have a very large music library but she escaped my notice. I’ll blame the fallow years on being busy while raising my boys. Sounds reasonable, I think. I read a funny story (found it on the Dimash International Fan Club) told by Igor Krutoy that Dimash said that as a boy when he would watch performances with Krutoy and Lara Fabian he would become indignant and ask, “Why does Krutoy accompany Fabian and not me?” So, I am discovering lots of great singers through my love for Dimash. Your reaction was so fitting. It’s always so incredible to discover another diamond in the music universe.
I'm glad you liked Lara's performance. I'll never get tired of hearing and watching this amazing song and performance. She delivered everything. Until next time Tim, take care 👋 P.S.: Lara and Dimash are good friends, they admire each other and performed together. In my opinion, they are from a similar school.
🇨🇦 This is not just a deep rabbit hole, it is a never ending Master Class ! Lara (not Laura) writes, sings, produces and arranges most of her performances ! Below are comment(s) from Eric Sicard who is our resident expert on Lara ! He will first tell you about the song, then tell you about Lara before he presents you with a 'short' list of her songs ! Everything he tells you is verifyable ! My suggestions, now you have heard her in French, try reacting to "Quedate" in Spanish, or "Caruso" in Italian, or "Adagio" in English ! Have fun ! 🇨🇦
Hi Tim, i am french. Glad that you discover Lara Fabian. She IS a great belgian artist, very gift, hardworker and talented. You could listen to all her songs, bonne écoute !! Thank you. Greetings from France ❤😊
Finaly you reacted to Lara Fabian! This consert is realy fantastic and she sings in english in 3 songs I think.. You are not from here", Broken vow and Adagio.
You should watch the full concert, it's from 1999, in Canada, where she lives today with her husband and daughter, the concert has the same title as her cd, FROM LARA WITH LOVE, it's fantastic, then another favorite is BROCKEN VOW writen by Lara, beautiful, and a big favorite is CARUSO from Italy, Lara Fabian is half Italian and half Belgium and speaks multiple languages fluently and sings in many more, she was born in 1970 and is now 54, she entered the EUROVISION song contest in 1988 as lead singer for a band, it was a very close competition, with a one point win for Switzerland, and the singer was Celine Dion as a 20 year old, with Lara being 18 years old, enjoy your journey.
She is amazing. Her singing is always moving me nearly to tears. Sometimes not only nearly. 🙂 She is one of the inspirations for Dimash and their collabs are fantastic. By the way, the song is originally by Serge Lama and was recorded in 1973.
Thanks Tim, you really should of watched it till the end. Lara takes a lot of time to "snap" out of her character from this amazing performance. So sad, so many reactors cut it off and miss the incredible transformation of Lara. Nice reaction.
Laura Fabian is a jewel, a treasure that was lost and overlooked here in the US. Making emotion contagious is so easy for her, a Master Class in voice, a unicorn, an absolute fantasy, a creature of mythic vocal and Thespian attributes who has this gentle way of taking you by the hand and command a very subtle, very particular kind of tenderness. Because of RUclips America gets to know THE RING. She makes unbelievable believable, impossible possible. She is Picasso and her voice is her brush. The stage is her canvas, and her playground where she creates a masterpiece with you as her subject. You are captivated for a few minutes mesmerized by every brush stroke with uncontrollable anticipation. You leave feeling better then when you came knowing you have witnessed something special and rare. I already have my 2025 Paris tickets. REACTOR/VOICE COACH/Producer QUOTES: "Have I been living under a rock?", "I don't get it, How did we miss this?, "Her vocal chords must be located in her heart", "she needs her flowers now", "if it wasn't for RUclips, I would have missed her completely", "the stage is her playground", "When I grow up, I would like to sing like this", "I can only say her voice is heavenly", "...she is the top of the heap of great voices", etc. @robertsirois8341 has said "You now have the Lara Fabian Virus. There is no cure". Let's see where this goes. The journey is mesmerizing, frustrating, perplexing. She has written/collaborated on hundreds of songs from dozens of concerts. The surface is scratched. "Kev" C.
Great reaction! She has made a more recent performance of this song in a concert at Olympia in Paris-En toute intimité- where she sang Je suis malade- a much more dramatic performance that many vocal coaches and artists called-the best performance they saw in their life!!!!! Stunning
She shows all her vocal pallet in "Adagio". The song Adagio is considered a masterclass for a vocal teacher, so I think is the one to go and break down for your students and followers.
@@TimWelchVocalStudio All the versions of Adagio I've seen sung by Lara herself are perfect (though they do vary a bit). In contrast, if you decide to react to Dimash covering it, make sure you pick his first performance of it, in a turquoise suit, for the 6th episode of the 2017 season of the Chinese TV singing competition The Singer. That performance transcends perfection, whereas his others are less than perfect for one reason or another (ill health in one case).
Welcome to Lara Fabian. So happy you reacted to her song. Please continue. I would suggest you choose live versions of her performances with translations. The "Lara with Love" concert is amongst the best. A great Italian song with translation is "Perdere l'Amore" It has great lirics ans Lara really connects to this song.
I don’t listen to her very much, but whenever I hear something from her she grabs my attention with her delivery. ❤ Almost as much as Dimash does. But I haven’t experienced it that much with other singers. I wonder how they do that.
Lara is my favorite female singer of all time. Little wonder that Dimash is my favorite male singer of all time. I was listening to Lara years before discovering the incredible Dimash!❤
Cheers!
She is amazing. I only learned of her a year or so ago. My favorite also is Perdere l'Amore. Just an incredible song and singer. She touches my soul.
@@KaliFlamingo she is someone special
Perdere amore is one of my favorites! Damn that performace!🥹😍
More information on Lara Fabian:
Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Aretha, Shirley Bassey, Lisa Fischer, ....
So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence:
• she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total
• she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for 200+ songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music, and is at the source of the melodic line.
• she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none
• she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens.
A quick background on her and her career:
She is belgian, her father is flemish and grand mother on father side is dutch, but she also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( the father of her mother is from Detroit).
Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), Linda Eder, …
With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there.
Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her.
She is Dimash's idol:
• I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep.
• He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara.
Out of my mind I can list:
○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer),
○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer),
○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version)
○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know")
• She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love".
Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration (singers from every region in the world: from China and Taiwan, to Philippines, Indonesia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Netherlands, Greece, Israel, Lebanon, Italy, France, Belgium, Norway, UK, USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Central Africa, …)

Eric, il va être heureux de pouvoir en savoir autant sur Lara en 1 seul commentaire ! Tout y est ou presque. Bonne continuation, take care 🙏🏻🇫🇷
Thanks for this!
Thank you!
@@ericsicard910 Wow thank you so much your resume is amazing.
Love from Austria 🇦🇹
I was really surprised Lara was given such a low profile during the recent Paris Olympics while Celine was lip-synching the opening ceremony song because her voice is gone. Lara could have done it for real live. In my opinion better also.
She's more than perfect ❤
This performance makes me feel genuinely bad for anyone who ever tries to sing this song publicly again. The gondola to Olympus already reached the peak. 💯
Same as anyone trying to sing SOS after Dimash.
Totally agree. Same goes to anyone trying to sing Dimash's songs or sing after his turn at a competition
@@mariannab6906 The only green room I can imagine that wouldn't be having panic attacks backstage while Dimash performs would be Vitas and Yma Sumac. 😉
For me, Lara and Dimash are my favorites singer. Now you have to listen to Caruso.
The 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal)
ruclips.net/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/видео.html
is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries.
The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella.
Lara is used to perform the song very differently in each of her tour and for instance the En Toute Intimité, 2003, Paris Olympia version is even more dramatic

@esztertakacs3360 she was in Bucharest (at Sala Palatului) on April 21st, and in Budapest (at MVM Dome) on April 30th 🙏
Any language she sings, she is the ultimate Queen, still today at 54yo, she owns the stage with her voice, beauty and performance, in an other league by herself Lara Fabian is certainly one of the most complete artists of the beginning of this century. This entire concert in Montreal was worth watching, but another standout from the night is Caruso. Lara’s mother is Italian, so the language comes natural to her. Honestly breathtaking.

Lara is amazing...'Caruso' is probably my favourite. She was Dimash's Idol since he was little and you can see why.He performed with her only once so far..'Ti amo Cosy',beautiful!😊
Adagio and Broken Vow from the same concert are a must.

Thank you for having left her a wider part of the monitor: she sings with all her body, not only the voice
I love your reaction. Great to see - TY so much. She is IMO the best performing artist of the last 30 years. She is the Queen, long may she reign
That's what she is known for - her expression and interpretation. She feels every word. She's the absolute best!! ❤
Thanks for your great reaction to this wonderful artist !! She is out of this world!!! Please react to more of her music , Adagio, Broken Vow , You’re Not From Here!! And I love “For Always “(John Williams)
Oh man. I saw her live way back in 2008 in Moscow and I will never stop getting goose bumps. Do listen to her signing Je T’Aime
She has been a favorite singer of mine for years! Listen to all her songs!!!

LOL Yep, what took you so long. I love Lara Fabian. More please. You wont be di disappointed ! Thank you
Can't wait to see you react to "Caruso" or "Adagio" from the same concert. (Always live performances when listening to Lara!)
Absolutely agree. What an artist. Never heard about her. Won't forget her from now on.
She is the real beast live. Her performances from the same concert as this song are insane!
"Adagio" --> ruclips.net/video/bqoS-KOLV_4/видео.html
"You're not from here" --> ruclips.net/video/Vv8XFXKXRLI/видео.html
"Perdere l'Amore" in Italian --> ruclips.net/video/mcmhCfH9OfQ/видео.html
"Caruso" --> ruclips.net/video/BP2KnLemT78/видео.html
"Quédate" in Spanish --> ruclips.net/video/cX0CPdBV75E/видео.html
She is the voice to which others tune themselves ❤🎉
Until next time Tim, take care 👋
P.S.: Lara and Dimash are good friends, they admire each other and performed together.
Thank you. Greetings from France ❤😊
your next one should be Caruso then Adagio
Greatest singer on the planet!
The best live performer of all time! No one can match her extraordinary talent and authenticity! 🙏
Finaly you reacted to Lara Fabian! This consert is realy fantastic and she sings in english in 3 songs I think.. You are not from here", Broken vow and Adagio.
Master Class Performance !
She’s a Godess 👸🏼
So glad you have discovered fabulous Lara! I think she is the best female singer ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, this is one who inspires Dimash!
Lara is The Queen of Resonance and vowel coordination. She is The Ring. The perfect singer.
Was at Montreal--Québec--Canada, 1999. She got many others' success.
She is one of the inspirations for Dimash and their collabs are fantastic.
By the way, the song is originally by Serge Lama and was recorded in 1973.
En ITALIEN ( CARUSO) BONJOUR DE FRANCE
Lara the best the queen ❤❤❤
We love lara fabian ❤❤❤❤
"Kev" C.
💛✨🙏🏼
Hauntingly beautiful ❤❤❤
Great reaction! She has made a more recent performance of this song in a concert at Olympia in Paris-En toute intimité- where she sang Je suis malade- a much more dramatic performance that many vocal coaches and artists called-the best performance they saw in their life!!!!! Stunning
She shows all her vocal pallet in "Adagio".
The song Adagio is considered a masterclass for a vocal teacher, so I think is the one to go and break down for your students and followers.
I look forward to checking it out, thanks!
@TimWelchVocalStudio always performances from this show.
Welcome to Lara Fabian. So happy you reacted to her song. Please continue. I would suggest you choose live versions of her performances with translations. The "Lara with Love" concert is amongst the best. A great Italian song with translation is "Perdere l'Amore" It has great lirics ans Lara really connects to this song.
great to see true excitement from a professional who understands what she's doing and what it takes.
Lara is my vocal queen. She kept me company for hours during grad school. thanks Tim. her version of Caruso is the best!
welcome ;) she's fabulous❤
