Wow, this interviewer is really crappy. She keeps asking him stupid questions and then she is like "You don't let anyone close, how come? Tell me something, tell me everything"! Almost like she is blaming him for not blasting out his entire private life, I mean, what's wrong with being polite a have a good reputation? I really like and respect Tom Cruise, he seems so grounded and to this day, he still seems grounded.
Tom never thrived on fame. He always wanted some measure of privacy. He liked working and he promoted his films. Perhaps the only time he went sought out publicity was when he first started seeing Katie Holmes. I'm sure the reason for that was because of the incessant gossip about his sexuality that might have peaked around that time of his life. Clearly he realized that was a mistake along with pushing Scientology in any interviews. He has since dialed it way back. I like him. He's a terrific actor and movie star. I hope he wins an Oscar one day and leaves Scientology.

Early 20s Tom demeanour and maturity is because he had to be a patriarch of the family since he was a kid. Started working odd jobs as a kid to contribute to the family financially. Hardships develop grit and builds such character.
I think TOm has made a real development, astonishing! At the age of 26 he was really cutest (appearance), after all these years one can clearly recognize his changed personality. It must be hard for a prominent person to quit leading a "normal" life, whatever this might mean... I think he does it very good!
When tom speaks he takes me to a whole entire universe. I can't understand his thought patterns which engages me more and that what made me fall in love with him.
It's prefisely because of that. To be honest I get him. People in general are very pessimistic and for a guy like Tom who likes to make the impossible possible, all that "realism" as people like to call it and which is really just a rigid pragmatism, can sound like a lot of unnecessary pessimism. Scientology members believe the we as individuals have the power to enact real change in the world and that we as individuals should take that moral responsibility of doing so upon ourselves instead of waiting and hoping for others to do it. To be honest, that sound far more appealing than negative pragmatism.
