Actually he copied much of it. Yes, noticed that hype shilling, china. Historically in the 1960's White Americans made a car that balanced on 2 wheels also.
See what you should really do with this, is set it up to just ride around in the middle of the night. Bonus points if it has lights on. Not bright ones, but just bright enough to be seen.
It is amazing that little gyro at the center of the bike enables it to stable balanced. Such a small foot print. I hope this guy has all the IP applied. But knowing Shenzhen people (where Huawei HQ is), he might just share it with everybody and a new industry is created.
E-bikes are a fantastic innovation that combines the joy of cycling with the convenience of electric assistance. They're a game-changer for commuting and exploring, making cycling accessible to a wider range of people while still being eco-friendly. 🚲⚡
Gyro stabilizer is proportional to bike weight, not the person, thus it will be waste weight since a person will be onboard. With that said, this could be a potential for economic bicycle drones that can be used for in site deliveries. (or in-city deliveries where there are low theft crimes)
China and Japan possibly will have to transition a lot of their jobs in industries like the food or logistics to keep things at a reasonable price, because of the aging population and increasing labor cost. Probably is going to be a piece of widely popular tech in the West and Asia
If this could only get away not to be stolen like an alarm system if it detects a potential robbery with a GPS this would make it so you could press a button so it drove towards you in any given situation
The gyro stabilizer may be suitable for recumbent bikes as well, that are not easy driven in city or country sides, with no needs for click on and off with cleats. But what about real pay loads with injured passengers?
you're putting a lot of weight and expecting a lot from a bike. I understand where your comment comes from but at that point, your safest bet is just to call 911 and not expect for a bike to get you to the ER
If they make this truly autonomous it would be great for bike sharing companies since they wouldn't need human workers to return the bikes to their stations after they pile up at popular destinations
I was dreaming it then before when i was a student to have something like this so that i could let it come to me and fetch where i stop from my commute which is a kilometer from our house. Now I see it as a reality
Forget about using this as transport since gyro will make it heavy for people to pedal any good amount of power. This could be a good base for bicycle delivery robots that can reach to places where cars can't.
It is a lab product, I don't think you can buy it, but it is possible to build it. The creator has made a tutorial video and published all the codes on Github.
You would have to have a larger gyro. This bikes is located on the forward side of the seat tube. To have a large enough gyro to support you it would have to be placed behind the seat tube back far enough to clear pedal and heel. Extended rear triangle like some cargo bikes and ebikes that use the battery behind the seat. It could be done. Like electronic rider aids on super sport motorcycles.
It would need to create more momentum. A Control Moment Gyroscope (CMG) could create much more momentum than the flywheel in a smaller and more lightweight package. The complexity would rise though
Clever but the reason bicycles exist is to move people about. Without a human there is no point. Like driverless racing cars, who cares which car wins?
bicycle means 2 cycles, which implies that motorcycles are actually motorized bicycles. Shortly it's called motorcycle. But it doesn't deny the fact that it is still a bicycle.
What?? It solves the last mile commuting problem. You can summon a bike anywhere and it will arrive to you by itself and then leave it for someone else to summon it at their location. This last piece of puzzle was never solved and now it has been.

I think you missed the point here. The gyro is supposed to balance the bike when it’s on the autonomous mode, not when it’s being driven.
If this could only get away not to be stolen like an alarm system if it detects a potential robbery with a GPS this would make it so you could press a button so it drove towards you in any given situation
Self (autonomous) driving or remote controlled?

Never mind, so long as it can hold our food deliveries.

could you explain what the controlled module actually is? Thank you!
Can humans comute with this bike? if yes it would be perfect for me living with cerebral palsy love to have one, can't walk good

Maybe a personal delivery vehicle - pretty cool. Still a trike (Yamaha Tricity) but electric and under 100 pounds would be better.
If there’s a definition of pointless this is it. The bike gets out and about sightseeing and keeping fit and the owner sits inside watching tv .
Muje bhi kharid na hai kaha se kharidu?
So basically this is a robot now.
How much prices..
When a human sits on this bike, will it still balance? That is important. If it doesn't then, there is little use for it. Thanks. Need an answer.

instead of a large weight , you could have a long weingh spinning inside the bar of the bike . it would then be hidden ...
