  • @yiguangshi8722
    @yiguangshi8722 11 месяцев назад +15

    One concern I have is Dodger Stadium is one of the most pitcher friendly parks. He likely will hit less home runs than when he was an Angel.
    The problem with Dodger Stadium is with the L.A. desert climate, temperature drops quickly after the sun sets. Somehow, this causes a draft to blow inward from the outfield in late innings on night games, causing what is normally a home run to become a routine fly ball. Angel Stadium just 40 miles south doesn't have this issue is much. Ohtani, Betts, and Freeman should request the Dodgers to redesign the outfield bleachers to reduce that late inning draft and at least make Dodger Stadium pitcher/hitter neutral which will allow Dodgers to sign more sluggers in the future. Some sluggers don't want to join the Dodgers for this reason.

    • @beastly2823
      @beastly2823 11 месяцев назад +4

      It actually is a lot more neutral than what you are saying. And both sides of the outfield have very low walls to the pull side. And with Ohtani’s power the wind draft won’t matter much. And I believe angels stadium has farther dimensions than dodger stadium.

    • @SuperCatacata

      Good thing he's also a pitcher. lol

    • @MannyLoxx2010
      @MannyLoxx2010 11 месяцев назад

      @@beastly2823Angel stadium has longer and deeper dimensions than dodger stadium at 350 and 347 down the lines and 396 and 400 to center but the ball travels well in Anaheim. Not so much at Dodger Stadium.

    Inflation adjusted, 680 millions in 2033 is going to be lower than current value.
    John Fisher playbook on players contract.
    I kind of suspect Dodgers don't have that much amount, which realistically his teammates should not have very high contract in his few last contract years unless dodgers taking loan to pay him, which the playbook is to avoid loan..

    What's the difference between this time and the last time the Dodgers recruited you?
    About $658,000,000

      I also think it was the lack of a DH position in the NL at the time.

    • @wilburwood8261
      @wilburwood8261 11 месяцев назад

      No, it is not that small.
      In 2017 the amount was like 2-3 Mil.
      SO the difference is more like 697,000,000
