when chatgpt was launched he was asked in podcast how chatgpt works.. Sam altman replied chatgpt is a blackbox model so no one knows actually how it works and derives conclusions, it is too complex to understand for human brains.
It is not too complex. Just that most ai research is driven by outcome and less understanding about the process. Saari money outcome pe hi lagti hai. It's the same in pharma, companies are just interested in having a cure it's the universities funded by tax dollars that look into the underlying processes. The only issue with ai is that we are blindingly trusting it with things without having any understanding how it comes to those conclusions
