I love the interview that the other host, Rachel, did with Chaka Kahn and Erykha Badu at the same time. The room was dim, some deep soul sounds were playing in the background, and Erykha Badu was sitting in a chair in the back with a lit incense, just ad-libing poetry...it was beautiful. I hope that someone will post that interview someday soon.

The paranoia from seeing shadow people and left in the room alone (because the guys wouldn't want her roaming around by herself) must have ran her to the pills. Now, I'm not sure what brought her to the other stuff but according to Miki Howard, Chaka got her involved in laced blunts or "Cocoa Puffs"
Yeah there's a lot of "YOUNG" people commenting for real....This is classic Sheri Carter from Video Soul - This is also in the earlier stages of Video LP. An alternate show the focused completely on that singular guest. Sheri had to be in her mid thirties at the time SO YESSS CHAKA IS EVERY WOMAN /ICON TO SHERI. WTF!- She stated she a big fan so WTF??- U know what's coming. FYI- Sheri swells the head up of every one that came on that show. She was always animated.
Her record label used her and didn't promote her she should have been in movies,drugs was a big part of her not reaching her full potential back then.Diana Ross was promoted by Berry Gordy.
