This is wonderful i recently got 2 of the acu Molle II for camping, hiking, and personal training. I love it. Been wanting to find someone to teach me how to use it properly. Thank you so much. If u can make more instructional videos that would be appreciated.
the frames on those things squeak a lot. the new medium ruck/field pack with the more flexible frame is so much better. it' crazy how they're trying to turn infantry into pack mules with these ridiculous large field packs
@@cagneybillingsley2165If the idea is to give troops options other than heavy transport, they'd better go to freighter type frames. The ALICE frames took cargo shelves for a reason. And in previous wars pack boards were used extensively. As to loadouts, just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.
I ETSed before these became a thing so I'm used to the ALICE. My MOLLE II should be arriving in the next couple of days so thank you for uploading this video! We'll see how my setup goes.
How did you end up liking your ruck? I ordered the Molle ii Large Ruck for a beater pack to use and abuse and keep my mystery ranch going longer for back country stuff.
Thanks for the video. Great demonstration and very useful info. Was never in the military but im setting up a ruck for an emergency bag and this helps a lot. Next step is running with it every day. It'd suck if shtf and i grab my ruck only to collapse a couple miles down the road because im not conditioned to ruck. As a smaller guy i also really appreciate the technique for getting a heavy ruck on your back. Sliding it up your knee seems way easier than any other way
I know this is kinda late but you really shouldn’t ruck run every day. It’s not good for your body and you can injure yourself because it’s too much impact on your joints. Just walk. And only do it a couple times per week
If your ruck is stuffed it will interfere with being in the prone and tilting your head back. Next thing is you shouldn't be laying in the prone with your ruck on to begin with. If you made a temporary stop then I would recommend taking off one shoulder strap and having the ruck off to the side so you could position yourself better in the prone.
Nothing specific, this is what I found is the best way to set up the Molle ruck. This way also allow you to utilize the entire bag for packing space but still being set up high enough so that the weight can be positioned on your torso comfortably.
40:31 That backpack is way too high.Never have I seen someone attach those shoulder straps so low on a frame. Soulder straps should be attached higher to the frame so the HIP belt would actually be resting on hip bones not on a waist. My God It's not even on a waist, it sits on ribs. This kind of presentation is harmful to soldiers. One hour of heavy rucking like that would mess a backbone.
@@TB-dp8yp Its by nomenclature called a "molded waist belt". It does not sit on the ribs it actually sits right on the lower back. This way when the waist belt is used it goes around your abdomen where you can brace your core against the belt to stabilize the trunk. I am going to assume you have never used a Molle ruck in this configuration since you have something negative to say about it. If you have any other concerns or questions I will be glad to answer your questions. Also I have an extra Molle ruck if you want to come try it out for yourself I would be glad to host you.
@@oczhaal I agree, not a great design but it's what we get issued so you have to work with what you have. That's why I made the video to show how to adjust it to work best.
Im sorry but the take a knee and slide the ruck to one side and lower to the ground " be mindful of the bag " got me laughing... Yes sir... As they just drop the ruck off their shoulders and let it fall.
I recognized this guy from the thumbnail. Cruz missile would smoke people for anything. He was our AT NCOIC in 2022.
Was there last year he was still there lmao he’s a prick
He definitely has short man syndrome. A real tyrant
Finally, a real demo with real issues. 🍻
Rip the man air squatting 😂
Get in a fucking squat position candidate till I say your done
🤣🤣🤣
lol...is he practicing taking a deuce?
Why is he squatting ?

Excellent knowledge for the guys built like him. A lot of differences for the over 6’2 hyperborean gigachads.
Yea, im 6' 5"....this is worthless for me
Hyperborean gang 💯😈

@@my98tiburon Aye ok
They teach you in infantry school to use your ruck as you would a sandbag in the prone position
Any way to set up the new molle 4k rucks like this?
I have not got a new molle 4k yet to see how it can be adjusted.
They are on the 1606 MC frame. They set up more akin to the FILBE ruck.
I have 2 of the 2 quart( 1/2 gal water)canteens. Is there a proper place to mount these on the molle II ?
in the sustainment pouches
Yes, there's a method. But a SAW pouch works fine. And there are folks that are making them for MOLLE systems.
My large ALICE is tough, but those frames are getting hard to find.
I got one like new from Fast Eddie's Surplus in Atlanta. On line only. I think about 35$.
😎
Yo i dont understand how you did the waist belt... Couldn't see how you looped it to make ot 4 inches

This is the Q Course.

Sounds like SFAS
Just before the video cuts out, someone asks about the upcoming Team Week, so I assume this is SFAS
It's the Q Course. The Soldiers all have SWC unit patches and rank on. In SFAS you don't wear any of that plus you wear a sewn on roaster number.
Hated those plastic frames. I always used and old school Alice medium or large. Still have 3 Lg alice packs. Wouldn't take one of those for free
Are the ruck setups with the separate sleep system carrier still in use? They came in woodland and desert camo.
Not really. They made the main pack bigger to eliminate the sleep system carrier.
@@JAWsFitness I kinda figured as much. More parts, more problems.
I don't like that ruck,to much to go wrong. I think the European Bergen is better.
I like how it sits away from the lower back. Less sweating and more comfortable than a Bergen.

Do they wear covers indoors now?
No, instructor ball cap. It is authorized for wear indoors.
Better to have several rucks at various stages of the build to demonstrate how it’s done.
I agree, I never got around to re-doing the video.
That's not how you train. Demonstration is walk through or step by step.
this rigid support exists on the false principle that everybody's back curve is the same... This will lead to lots of injuries.
Which rigid support are you talking about?
