Perhaps that was just Jango keeping himself from getting attached to his clones in a personal level.

A little disdain towards the kaminoans too for being in the business imo. To him it was a means to an end but Jango still probably didn't like them for what they were doing. Maybe he thinks with his own template (being a badass and all) they have a better chance than most people in the galaxy. This wins him prestige and a better conscience.

I think Jango’s feelings on his clones makes sense. To him, they’re basically imitations. Boba’s different because Jango wanted a son and saw Boba as much more than a copy of himself.

I agree. Jango is a Bounty Hunter, and this is a job. So his feelings aren't going to be involved. He is cold and calculating. Secondly, the clones are not him, they are copies that have been programed.
@@nicholasmooreiii4953 well he isn't a son. He is an exact clone. Unaltered in any way. Not a regular clone. Not a commando template. Not a ARC template. A pure clone. In a sense it is the closest to Jango due to it completely unaltered exact copy so yeah in a way it kind of is the closest to a son he could get lmfao

@@jimtaylor527 He is his son. Just because he's his clone doesn't mean he isn't a father figure for Boba. An exact clone isn't the same person. Our life experiences and thoughts shape our brain in unique ways. Boba may be a clone, but he is Jango's son, and Jango is his father. They're two separate people who happen to share the same DNA.
#1 To those fathers who don't share their DNA with their son(s), we don't disqualify them from not being their father because fatherhood is also a position, not just a biological fact.
#2 In this case they share the same DNA. It's the same logic just reversed. If you take the #1 as fact, you must take #2 as true, elsewise you're living a contradiction.
Fatherhood is more than what you're thinking of at first glance.
Poor Jango lost his head before the Clone Wars started. He'll never see his sons in real combat against the Separatists. His clones may even be ahead of him in terms of combat.
Wouldnt really say that they were ahead of him, since most clones probably couldnt kill jedi with their bare hands
"Sons"? They were never his sons, and he never saw them as such. They were never anything but livestock and canon fodder, which is exactly how they were seen by their own template.

MegaMaster1021 Jango would’ve already left with Boba. After his encounter with Obi-Wan on Kamino and the Jedi on Genosis, he’d be on the run to train Boba and the Jedi/Sith would get in the way of that
Pretty Sure Jango is badder and better than any clone. But we’ll never know unfortunately.
everyone who worked on the prequels from thecast to the filming crew should be thanked for brining those masterpieces to the big screen. No role was any more or any less important. They've all worked so hard and put their hearts into each film I for one am grateful to each and every single one of them for giving me my childhood.
They can definitely de-age Temuera to play Jango again. Hopefully we can see some Jango Fett flashback scenes in The Book of Boba Fett. Such an underrated character.
Imagine that in the Ashoka series we get a clone wars flashback with a de-aged Dawson and Morrison as Rex.. that would be awesome
I come from the future to tell you no, Book of Boba was a wasted opportunity. BUT we do get clone wars and captain rex flashbacks with Morrison s voice in the Ashoka show 😊

Just a simple army invading it's way in the universe.
Boba had good feelings about the clones (as we see in the Clone Wars) when they meant nothing and seemed expendable to the person who raised him.

It might be a stretch to suggest Boba was attached to the clone troopers in anyway. He very much seemed to view himself as apart from the rest of them.
He just wasn't so callous that he could feel comfortable with killing them en masse in his pursuit of vengeance.
It's probably hard for him seeing people walk around with his dads face
To me Jango's backstory (not Boba) is perfectly told in Star Wars: Bounty Hunter which is canon in my head.

Makes sense and it fits the character of Jango to be disconnected to clones. While it's an amazing honor to have an entire army be made in your image, at the end of the day they were mostly cannon-fodder. Boba is just built different and is the only one Jango took pride in.
Also my head canon is that out of all the clones Rex, Hunter, and Boss were the closest to Jango in terms of combat and creativity.

I believe if Jango got to know his more distinct clones, he could've been more proud of them. He never anticipated them to become more than just mindless meat droids.
I just don't think he cared.
Outside of Boba, I don't think Jango really cared about anyone and that was a conscious choice he made in how he was going to live his life and career as a bounty hunter. He didn't care if they became more or less than what he expected, they were just a job, no different than any random criminal he brought in for a bounty.
Jango: they're cannon fodder.
Also Jango: They'll do their job well, I guarantee it.
It was scary to see the sudden change in the clones' behavior in the bad batch after order 66.

Isn’t this canon though, didn’t he oversee the training and culture in Legends? Like I kinda understand it; but think him caring about them is better. Jango may have been ruthless, but he was honorable and human. Congrats on 3 million!
Evidently, Jango's actual input on the clonetroopers was very minimal. It seems he was simply there to provide genetic material and training regimens for the Kaminoans to pass along, and didn't want to form any sort of connection with the clonetroopers.
In any event, I'd call it a stretch to call him honorable. He was a ruthless bounty hunter whose only real code was in fulfilling the contract. He didn't care about who he hurt or what the contract was ultimately for and he was perfectly willing to turn on his comrades the moment they became liabilities.
I honestly can't think of any moments where he demonstrated any particular honor in his time as a bounty hunter.
The only ones he trained one on one were the clone commandos
This Canon comic reminds a lot the "Blood Ties" mini-series (pretty underrated by the way)
Its weird how cold he is in this seen as how he doesent want to execute someone in Clone Wars.
I will always prefer the Legends portrayal of the Fetts, and the Clone Army in general.

I kind miss the legacy version. When Jango gathered Skirata and the other Cuy'val Dar to train the clones and Jango took a personal hand in training the Arc Troopers.
I thought they were going this route in clone wars. When they said he was no Mandalorian, being Cuy'val Dar. Karen Traviss did the Mandalorian culture a fine service as did Dark Horse .We can only hope that Jon & Dave filter in more of this excellence.

This story really goes in line with that "Open Seasons" comic miniseries back when Episode 2 came out. I wished that remained canon, it really was one of my first introductions to the workings of Mandalorian culture and Jango's actual role in it.
Agreed. That and the game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter should have remained canon. The whole hunt for the leader of the Bando Gora being set up as a test to find the clone template by Dooku was far more interesting than this. Plus I loved Jango's character development in that game.

I think jango fett (in legends) had a sense of pride and a slight ego. He was prideful and knew he was the best. In open seasons and bloodlines, he could be cold-blooded yet conflicted in the jobs he did. Cold, yet honorable. Yet his desire for revenge against the jedi turned him further into the more cold, calculating being we know him today. Behind closed doors, he knew the plan to eradicate the jedi, not all of it, but most of it. To the kaminoins, he kept the facade of them being cannon fodder, hired by a man called Tyranus... but underneath it, he KNEW they were his ultimate revenge.
I can totally see him feeling this way about the clones in a cold unfeeling way but I could also see him feeling this way in a almost disappointed way. Because it’s like he knows they won’t amount to anything more than soldiers, even when they give each other names there’s not that many people who know them individually rather than as an army as a whole. Where as the name Jango Fett is know and feared across the galaxy. He knows there’s no happy ending for them, they’re going to all die on the battlefield with few people knowing of them and no legacy left behind.

Yo Theory! I think you might have forgotten to factor in the Cuy'val Dar and Jango personally training the Aphla Class of Arc Troopers like Alpha 17. But I still think you're 100% accurate about Jango's views on the standard rank and file or in this case "laser fodder" Clone Troopers. Even some of the Alpha Class Arc's didn't view those guys as their brothers even and the Alpha's mission mentality and personalitys were shaped by their one on one training with Jango.

The previous canon and approach from Dooku was so interesting. Aka the 2002 Bounty Hunter game! Loved that game and the offer from Dooku was a perfect end to that story.
It is cool to dive deeper into Jango's perspective of the clones and see the bond with Boba.

We see plenty of child clones modelled after Daniel Logan and of course countless adult clones modeled after Tem Morrison, why do we basically _never_ see that young-adult version between the two played by Bodie Taylor (the ones all in red jumpsuits eating at the mess hall when Obi-Wan tours the facility for the first time in Episode 2)
I always viewed Jango seeing it as just another job having no emotion either good or bad but that he saw Boba as a way to continue his legacy it's kinda nice seeing it a bit more from his point of view with this

His feelings towards his clones makes sense to me from a human perspective as well. Where you suggest we all would likely feel some empathy for ourselves and thus for clones of ourselves, we each also possess aspects of ourselves that we do not like, or find annoying/irksome. Imagine that even though a clone is the same as us, it still possesses its own experiences and new memories from those experiences making them differentiated enough from ourselves that feeling empathy for millions of variations of ourselves would seem to be a difficult ask. Especially considering the human capacity for intimacy with other humans being limited to about 150 people before we can't spare the energy to "put ourselves in others shoes" without sacrificing our attention upon our own needs/wants/condition. Just my two cents anyway. Great video!
