I like both listening and reading at the same time. My mind wanders when I only read a book alone without audio. The audio helps keep me keep focused.
Audio alone it will not stick for me unless I listen to it multiple times.
Everyone is different. Try what works for you.

I am going to try this! I love audio, but I get distracted easily. Great idea, thanks 💡👍🏾!

Both are good but reading is definitely more effective. To read and retain a book your brain needs to be 100% invested into the activity. With an audio book your brain can wander.

@@ocelotcake9359 at the end of the day if you reach the end goal the only thing that changes is the format, and naturally some people are better suited for certain formats than others. btw i love audio books

I tend to disagree. When I listen to a book and I am walking or folding laundry I get more retention - for example when I am looking up at a tree while listening to the book that tree image will be linked to the information I am listening to. So it stays in. ..

I think the effect varies. It depends on what you do.

I think it depends on your learning style. I am a visual learner therefore I retain more information if I read it. Even if I focus on listening to an audiobook or any other spoken word, I do not remember as much just because I have difficulty remembering audio information on general. I can imagine that if you are an auditory learner, you will disagree with Jim.

Yeah it’s like comparing a 70s Chevy chevelle to an electric scooter. The smell of the books pages, the beauty of its illustrations and covers along with the feel of holding it and reading it on a sunny day or stary night can’t be replaced by a freaking ipad kid with earphones. old is gold also crazy how 9 years back reading a book meant actually reading and not listening. You can’t read a book by listening to it. It’s like your parents told you a bed time story but did you read it? No. All this meta ai technology bull can’t replace gold.

And that's why I try to make it a habit to read every day even if it's just for 15 minutes.

It is more sufficient, and he has said that in the original video.
Multitasking affects the power of comprehension of the title.

Reading a book seems improved my memory because it is challenging and made me imagine anything haha and I can say that it works for me, I also listen to podcasts or audiobooks to exercise my brain on how to pronounce terms.. both will benefit us but try and see what will work for you. Goodluck!❤

I disagree with his opinion. What if you’re not a good reader. Or a fast reader. I personally have memorized a whole lot of songs, without ever reading one.

It’s a different effect. I used to like listening to them but now I prefer reading visually. I feel better about it. 😂

Ikr all these high tech pandemic lockdown kids with their smart watch and electric scooter and them calling their ipad a ‘book’😂😂😂🤡 bruh how do they even live with themselves man what even happened to masculinity? Like be a man go read a book go gym play a sport be aggressive in chasing your goals and enjoy in your leisure time that’s a manly mans routine wth is up with this doo doo gen z. Always coming up with bonkers slangs and thinking it’s cool like no cap blah blah see I might seem like an old dude but I was born in 2003 so I’m technically gen z but thank lord I’m not like these other kids from my generation. An old classic hardbound book along with a classic 78 chevelle and a leather jacket with aviators that’s my brand of masculinity. Compared to these losers wearing make up and pink crop tops and their electric scooter lol and calling themselves ‘MEN’
