Gene Simmons once commented that if the band had been born in America, they might have been the biggest in the world.
Do you mean that it is not?
And the drummer, Yoshiki, just finished a classical piano world tour (bit more gentle than his drumming) plus a fashion show in Milan. Multi-talented
Hey Joel,
Remember the neck brace from Babymetal Headbanger?? or the Neck Brace Su-metal wore in Babymetal Death??
It was in honor of Yoshiki, the Drummer you saw in this video!!
Thanks for another Great Reaction!!
*We are X!!*
I am 43 years old, but it brought back the elation I felt when I first heard this song in elementary school!
Yoshiki tells a story about buying out a studio in LA from under Metallica because he wanted to record something and they were not letting anyone else in while they were recording, timing suggests it was the Black album.
The fans doing the X jump also got them banned from some venues for a while as it set off earthquake detection and they could not promise that they could stop the fans.
Yoshiki is the goat as far as the drums in my opinion 🤘🔥🤘
Rest in Peace Hide Matsumoto! Our beautiful Pink Spider!Rest in Peace Heath our Bassist forever!🙏🏼🕷X Japan! We Are X forever!Listen to Art of Life by X Japan!Yoshiki is a musical genius!
X made this song for their own generation, to fight the power
X created visual Kei
X influenced manga, anime, games, fashion and Japanese culture in general
Hide,. the Guitarist - Has a festival named after him
They area all multi instrument Masters, including classical music ones.
I had to check that I was playing the video at the "normal" speed.
Heath the bassist in the video recently passed away. Condolences to X Japan.
😮
I forgot to mention it in the intro but I left you guys a fun little Easter Egg at the very very end of the video. Kind of like what they do in Marvel movies... It's just not as exciting as that! =-)
Watch Art of Life that song is fucking Epic!
@@candycroom6892 you will find it on the channel. It was awesome
Toshl is like a businessman with a rock concert!
New album is supposed to come out I think…. They’re so good live and the singing and drummer have been friends since elementary school.
That new album is never coming 😭
Thanks from 🎌🇯🇵
Yeah, it was these performances where they got the crowd to jump, and that set of of the earthquake sensors in the Tokyo Dome, and that got them banned from the venue.
Marilyn Manson and hide were friends. Manson's hair was pink. hide passed away in 1998.
They sold-out the Tokyo Dome 18 times - Capacity 55,000!! Yoshiki, drums and Toshi, vocals wrote most of the songs.
They were on track to be the first Japanese band to perform in the Wembley Arena, London. They fell apart before they could. SO who was the first Japanese band to perform in Wembley Arena? Babymetal, sold-out and broke the record for merchandise sold. Yoshiki was there to see them.
They are still a band, just not very active anymore. The singer got out of the cult and they reformed back in around 2008 with a different guitar player in place of Hide, Sugizo fromt he band Luna Sea, one of their fellow "visual kei" bands from back in the 90's.
Ok, now listen to X Japan - Orgasm from The Last Live 1997, it's on RUclips. It's a 19 minute song.
Heath (bass) is still alive. Hide is the only one that passed, bless his soul.
Taiji (Ex-bass 1985-1992 - before Heath) was died ( 2011)
RIP Heath
He passed on October 29th of this year,I still don't want to believe it.🥺He loved Phantom of the Opera like me.Rest in Peace Hiroshi Morie! We Are X!
