Fabulous! I didn't realize immediately that you were on a bicycle. I presume you work the special effects into the video when you edit it? I'll be checking the rest of your channel to see what else you have to offer...but four stars and A+ for this one. Loved it!
You said Green Island where I didn't see it. Funny thing I lived there most of my life, but we called it The Island after the gang the Islanders that I was in back in the '60s. And I wrote the book The Boy From Worcester; It's all about Crompton Park. I thought you might be interested since it's about Worcester I even had someone write the screenplay. That just might become a movie. The book is a portrait of late 1950s-late 1960s East Coast America. But that label alone would be a great disservice to all the many other things it is: a terrific illustration of the importance of families; a deft painting of friendship; a story of loss, of betrayal, of youth, and of dreams; and love, the one thing that binds this gallery of human interconnectedness together as you follow my early experiences in Worcester Massachusetts, as I learned to make a street gang family amongst friends, after having been orphaned at an early age. If you want to know more about it friend me on .. facebook.com/robert.walch.545
What was mean about Worcester's city streets? The city of Worcester appears to be a very well kept and architecturally rich city with bustling, clean streets. You riding a bike on some of the asphalt was a bit tricky because of pavement deterioration and potholes. But those are infrastructure problems throughout much of the world. When you mentioned mean streets I was under the impression that this would show the lousy, deteriorated, boarded up sections of town with all the typical pathologies of inner city ghetto living. Worcester is a very beautiful, clean city and it looks like a very pleasant place to live. It would be awesome if seriously troubled cities like Detroit, Toledo, St Louis etc. were clean, well kept, and vibrant like Worcester. Unfortunately if you should ever check those three above mentioned cities out, you will see that they are the total opposite of Worcester, MA.
John Smith My friend, every city has bad areas and every suburb has bad areas. No place in this world is perfect and problem free. This video gave me a very positive impression of Worcester as a clean, well managed city. If you want really mean streets, come check out Buffalo, Detroit, and St Louis. These three declining, troubled cities will give you streets so mean that you will never forget them. Trust me on this one. Worcester is paradise when compared to Buffalo, Detroit, and St Louis.
Being from Worcester, i can tell you, its not so nice of a city to live in. theres literally garbage everywhere. junkies and panhandlers all over the place. the streets are riddled with potholes and used needles. worcestwr just ranked 183 of 200 (toledo being 184) of the worst cities in the us to live, being based on sense of purpose and community, social and financial status and physical health. looks can be deceiving buddy.
Worcester is not bad. Travel around the U.S. and make a comparison. Like any other city it has it's good parts and bad. Also, travel the world to see what's really out there.
The main south area is a pit, yeah they will through some paint up n replace lights... It could be a very nice neighborhood, its the ppl keeping it a mess . Been here my whole life and it has always been the place for junkies, prostitutes, homeless, criminals and crazy ppl. Aha home crap home in war town. I'll never leave
that muzik,it should say the happy streets of Worcester lol show tunes for your back ground muzik ,ahhhh oxycodone a bike and a cam can make people feel creative lol
