Now THIS is a ThinkPad. ThinkPad is back, and so are the TrackPoint buttons. Finally excited about the brand all over again.

Just a few years ago Lenovo and Motorola innovated with amazing interesting devices such as this. I miss the old innovative products and wish hopefully one day they will bring back some of these interesting devices which make me excited for the future. I know I'll be waiting for it 👍
next, please come back my 7-rows keyboard. Lenovo, please bring up what users really want.

I'm glad to see the re-appearance of the trackpoint BUTTONS. The clickpad that is supposed do double as those buttons on most current Thinkpads is a joke.
Can't believe my eyes. Buttons for trackpoint are back. Is it true? My God, that is the best news from Lenovo!
It saddens me that all these strange, innovative, and unexpected device ideas once existed, and yet only the boring Apple junk gets all the attention and positive reviews year after year.
Does anybody know if the Pro Keyboard works with the original Helix?
So they include buttons and now its a thinkpad? LOL I'm still waiting for the pause/break key to be back, the F1, F2, F3... to be primary keys, and a lot of more things that makes a thinkpad a real thinkpad.

Thank God they listened. The X240 would have been my last ThinkPad - I struggle daily with that awful buttonless wobbly platter. Will replace with the X250 or Helix assuming the Trackpoint buttons turn up. Might I suggest Lenovo reinstate the function keys and missing buttons, and can I politely suggest they stop trying to destroy their brand by continually f**king up the very things people buy ThinkPads for.
Can I game in it
This is tempting , yet as I type this I am forced to listen to the GRINDING annoying fan noises out of my current Lenovo notebook. I doubt I will trust Lenovo again.
i have lenovo y510p seem nice. nothing bad or anoying sound
i bet they didn't think about how we can upgrade the sdd, hdd, and ram!!! i'll stick with thinkpad yoga -_-

Thats is one sexy machine.
great specifications, however slow. don't be fooled. i'm a user of helix for the past one year, re-imaged my system 3 times to find ways to optimize the speeds.
2.9 Ghz shouldnt be THAT slow. Or you don't know how to optimize a machine
i was dumb founded too. have been installing hardware systems since i was 13.
and you dont have a helix fortunately
actually I do. 2nd Gen, 2.9 GHz turbo boost. thing works great.

***** When is it available? One site reports October while another January '15.
Lucien E Other sites are reporting that the Pro keyboard (the one with the Trackpoint that directly connects to the Helix that also has a secondary battery) is the one that we unfortunately have to wait until January for.
***** Yes that was also listed on Lenovo's initial site (base model Nov., pro keyboard January).
