  • This model is like many other lawn mowers, we will show you how to assemble and start a lawn mower for the first time. You will need to buy some gasoline and oil to be able to start it correctly the first time.
Oil: You can read in the manual how much you need to fill in the machine. And remember to check the oil level after a few runs.
Please check the manual on what oil you should use. Typical it’s a 4-cycle lawn mower oil.
Gasoline: Fill the container with gasoline. Typical you use regular gasoline but check the label on the machine. Some places you can also buy environmental gasoline, which doesn’t contain the same level of additives. That is much healthier for you.
    Inspect the air filter.
Check the sparkplug is attached. And moving forward, please check every year, before the new season.
You can check the sparkplug by detach the wire and screw the sparkplug out. Assemble it outside of the machine, ground it and get someone to pull the starter cable on the lawn mower. If it works properly it will give a small spark.
This model also has rear wheel drive. My yield is hilly, and therefore is the rear wheel the best option, because it gives the best traction.
If you don’t have a nozzle, tilt the Jerry on its side. And if you spill, wipe it off before you start it!
The gasoline doesn’t flood the carburetor.
On this machine you have a gasoline primer, which sucks air out, and sucks gasoline from the tank into the carburetor so it’s much easier to start. Tap it a few times, you will typical feel the liquid behind the primer when it’s primed correctly. But don’t overdo it, it can lend to flowing the carburetor.
This model also has a washout port, which makes it easy to clear after use.
