- On my Porsche 911 SC I installed the Seine Gated Shift Kit. Retails for around $150. Install took about 2.5 hours taking my time, and at the end of the video I talk through the function and give my thoughts!
I installed this, the Seine shifter kit, and the Stomski shift linkage coupler on my '86 3.2. COMPLETELY transformed my 915 transmission, which was originally the most vague, sometimes-difficult-to-even-find-third-gear piece of junk ever. Now, it is honestly just the slickest-shifting of all my manual cars. Once you get that pawl dialed in, yes, be sure to weld that puppy to your shift lever. 😁

Was the issue you had was due to you having a short shift kit? No modification to the housing if using the factory shifter?
No you have to modify the housing to use the Kit. Not that there was a problem, just has to be done.
I don’t trust the hose clamp. Any reason I shouldn’t TIG weld those tabs? Ah, at the end of the video you mention welding it. That’s what I’ll do. I am concerned about my son missing a shift on my old Targa.
Yeah weld the new tab! If you don’t have a welder I would bolt the tan and jb weld it
I tried to order a Seine but they went out of business. I was going to buy a used one off of Pelican but wound up buying a Karsten spring instead.

I bought mine through pelican parts. BUT… I have since swapped to the Wevo… it’s worth the extra money.

Yeah I think it’s discontinued now… look at the Wevo setup. That’s what I have now

@@cky3396 actually another subscriber bought it when I did the Wevo install. Having had both… I do prefer the Wevo.
