Come down off your throne and leave your body alone
Somebody must change
You are the reason I've been waiting so long

We're near the end, just ain't got the time
Cause I'm wasted and I can't find my way home
Come down on your throne and leave your body alone
Somebody must change
You are the reason I've been waiting all these years
Somebody holds the key
Chorus X2
Still lovin' you,
I ain't done nothing wrong,oh no
But I can't find my way home
Believe me,I can't find my way home
But I can't find my way home
I ain't done nothing wrong,oh no
But I can't find my way home
God Bless You!!!
This legend is NOT in the rockroll hall of fame. Shame on those bastards. Joe Cocker rules. RIP man.
Yes he is. They just don’t know it.
Who cares if he does covers. He does them like no one else. Great music is great music. Cockers' an icon!
Vince Smith
Agree
Vince Smith - And he always covers the best, most soulful songs.
Nobody:
Vince: WHO CARES IF HE DOES COVERS?!
So true
Any song Joe touched made a magnificent difference
I just heard this what a treasure I didn't know Joe Cocker had covered this. I love it
I am wasted can’t find my home was my motto in the 70’s and 80’s 😮
Last time I saw Joe Cocker in concert he opened for Tina Turner. A lot of new Joe Cocker fans were made that night who were only there to see Tina. He had everyone on their feet by the time he finished She Came In Through The Bathroom Window.
Nobody but nobody covers a song like Joe Cocker
R.I.P Joe Cocker
You are missed
When you hear today's music...and then hear this....can't help but blink in astonishment at the near total collapse of modern music and artistry. Incredible performance.

Yea winwood was a genius writer. I don’t have to say anything about cocker.
Not true! You are just an old fart that don’t play music and therefore has not kept up with the current music since back when, when it was part of your life. I am also an old fart, play music and have always kept up with the current music and artists. Basically, there are good and bad music during every era including the era Joe Cocker was in. Btw, I was in his gh school.
Today music has been destroyed by streaming services, the musicians get almost no money, the slimey company suits get stinking rich.
There never was and never will be another like Joe Cocker.
Mark Kelly thank fuck for that
67stickyfingers And they'll never be another like you, either
Mark Kelly thank fuk for that ,,lol
67stickyfingers Have you washed those sticky fingers yet?
Pure shite
I'm 74 and on a musical journey that has me watching almost every cover of this song. This one makes me cry.
It’s an absolutely beautiful song isn’t it Bill. I usually listen to it on a daily basis, but this is the first time I’ve heard this version. It came up on one of my suggested mixes, he certainly does it justice and I’m sure Steve Winwood agrees
Me too
RIP Joe Cocker. You've "Found Your Way Home" now. A legend doing a legendary song.
A rock icon. If he sang covers, he covered them damned well. His own man, his own artist. Doesn't get any better than Joe Cocker.
He made the originals sound EVEN BETTER. AMEN Rip my brother Joe.
Should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. No ifs, ands, or buts.
Didn’t you know? If you can’t bribe, you don’t get. Welcome to America.
Fuck...I really miss this guy.
If you were fortunate enough to have seen Joe Cocker in concert, then don't sweat, the concerts you missed. you seen a legend. RIP JOE.
I saw him in concert and it was absolutely wonderful. This man had enough soul for a hundred people.
He was so genuine. And so sweaty😅
When you match Winwoods creation with Joe's vocals in a lower key its magic and so emotional...its the real thang!
Just great!
Still I can't find my way home,
And I ain't done nothing wrong,
But I can't find my way home .....
What a great song .Thanks for this nice share .
I'm sure Steve Winwood is in awe of this version.
Fuck ,no matter how mush Music ,i listen to , i alwayes come back and listen to him 👍
I saw him when he opened for The Guess Who in Atlanta at the Fox, front row seat. What I remember is that when I look backstage left half of the Guess Who was watching his performance, and when I look backstage right the other half of the Guess Who was watching, I guess I was not alone thinking this was the best performance EVER.
rick boze goll lee gracious That must have been one hell of night & memories for a lifetime. ✌❤✌
Huhhh...
And once again Mr Cocker has defined how a song is to be performed.
John Burke he always seems to it better than the original too!
"I'm wasted and can't find my way home"... seems authentic coming from Joe Cocker. How did this guy ever live to be 70? I'm glad he did!
Mary Johnson he was sober for 14 years before he died and was quite ashamed of the life he lead before 2000. He was a good man.
@@cosmojensen everybody says the same, that he was a really niece guy
God bless Joe !
Wow. First time I ever heard anybody but Steve Winwood sing this. So much passion :)
Best version of this song and Keltner's drumming, one of the best drum parts I've ever heard.
Steve's version is fantastic too
Any Song that he Covered, Joe always made it his Own. Fantastic Singer & Full Of Faith. ☮️💟✝️
Always bringing something to the table - himself. Thank you, Joe.
Cocker & Keltner🌹❤️💋🎹🎶🎵🎼🎸
I’ve Always LOVED Blind Faith’s Can’t Find My Way Back Home. I love Cocker’s Version.
At one time in his life he was sleeping on a friends couch, you can hear all he went through in his voice, one of a kind rip in peace joe you earned it,and thank you

What a master singer! So much soul, so much passion and power. No one does a song like Joe! Thank you, Joe Cocker, for blessing us with your remarkable presence and voice and heart, and thanks for the great post.

i don't care for most "covers" but, DAMN!, COCKER IS THE COVER KING! I SAID IS...NOT WAS! he actually improved most of them. can't wait to get to my eternal rewards. front row seat for some of the best musicians this world has had the pleasure of knowing.
I saw Joe Cocker at the Atlantic City Pop Festival in 1969. I never heard of him, didn't know who he was, or why was he on stage with the likes of Canned Heat, Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, etc. Plus it started to rain, and I'm sitting there uncovered with about 100000 other people, thinking "who is this clown? Dose he have cerebral palsy? Doesn't he have anything of his own?
Joe Cocker sang covers just like Linda Ronstadt - they weren't songwriters. They got by with it for good reason; both had/have killer voices.
Fantastic! Miss you Mr Cocker!
the gravely voice, the sweat, the passion...damn
He was the BEST there ever was,the BEST there ever is,the BEST there ever will be.
Simply the BEST.
Bret Hart fan?

I MISS THIS MAN...!
a few years ago, i saw Joe open up for Tom Petty/ Heartbreakers...Joe had not 1 but 2 encores.....Tom comes out to do his set, 4 songs into his set he sez ''How About That Joe Cocker Huh?, How do follow that??...'' now we've lost them both.....2 class guys!
This man could rip the soul out of twinkle twinkle little star.... Simply incredible.
I'm glad there was someone else in this world who sweat as much as I.
Me too brother
pmkrak, I always say if I'm not sweating at the end of playing, I'm not doing my job.
hahaha..when i got outta service ,early, mid eighties only job i happened on was digging cable, southern florida, used ta drink 2,3 16 ounce cups coffee afore startin time, then buncha water onsite, once i got my rhythm,my clock was a drop a sweat off the tip a me nose fer each carefully placed spade shovelful,gospel....? old school
he took a Beatle song and turned it into a masterpiece " With a little help from his friends..." The Great Joe Cocker!
Joe you were and still are a Legend , we miss you so much you were amazing !! god bless you always in our thoughts .
RIP - Joe Cocker. I had the pleasure of seeing him perform live several times and with each show, he was more intense than the one prior.
He was amazing with the Jayhawks at "The Foot" in Austin early '80's.
He is the great of the greatest! Missing you, you're home now and we're still enjoying the music you left behind. R.I.P. Joe Cocker, you are loved.
John Belushi’s impression has gotten really convincing, wow.
God bless Joe. He meant so much to a lot of us people. Hope to see and hear you on the other side brother.
I'm feelin' alright after that. Man, what an entertainer he was.
Joe was simply “ Unique” his voice was almost like sand paper, a gravel road, throaty blues SENSATIONAL. He was gifted with his voice. He was rock, soul, blues he was the man!!!!! So sexy too. Had a turbulent career yes went off the scene for awhile but came back stronger than ever beat the drug abuse and alcohol abuse and for that I applaud him 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻he could sing anything and everything. Your an Icon and Legend Joe you will live on eternally forever in our hearts 💞 always on our minds. Your eternal flame 🔥 will never be extinguished you rocked Joe THE GREATEST! 😘😘🙏🏻🙏🏻🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😀
❤🧡💛💚💙💜❤🧡💛💚💙💜❤🧡💛💚💙💜❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Sensational..Joe Cocker a legend and a terrific singer..the band is exceptional..what a sound and the rhythem is great..what a pioneer.
the mans a credit to his profession. SUPERSTAR!!!!
This was my creedo in the 70’s i couldn’t find my home funky blind from cheap vine and pills 😮
A lot of really big names have done covers. The Beatles, Clapton, Rolling Stones, Canned Heat....the list goes on forever. And a lot of "originals" weren't written by the artist. Carol King, John Denver, amd many more wrote songs for some of the biggest artists. No shame in that. And Cocker was an amazing talent regardless of who wrote the songs, or did them first. Damn I miss him.
art has, will never have, borders..peace and diplomacy. taterhead
Saw Mr. Cocker in 2007 but had been listening to his music forever. What an incredible talent in such a Humble and Gracious Person. RIP
Love ya Joe Cocker.
Blind faith..........cover, happy to have seen the original, happy to have seen Joe in 69.

Nothing but respect.
It's so good I can't help weeping
You know death is a part of life, god's way of telling you to slow down ,but why do we have to loose artists like Joe ,Lowell George etc.
SO COOOOOOOOOOL
All star band that is
you really rocked.. I saw you live four times, you always exceeded my expectations. peace be with you
Such a prolific singer. He's surely missed.
THIS GREAT MAN SING HIS SONGS WITH ALL HIS SOUL.
His version of this iconic Blind Faith's song is so touching...
100% soul and a passion for expression. One of a kind. RIP
One of a kind!
When he sings wasted and cant find my way home, I totally believe him. This is not song lyrics, its true.
God bless Jim Keltner!!
Hi! Just in the case you wanna sing with him
Come down off your throne and leave your body alone
Somebody must change
You are the reason I've been waiting so long
Somebody holds the key
Well, I'm near the end and I just ain't got the time
And I'm wasted and I can't find my way home
Come down off your throne and leave your body alone
Somebody must change
You are the reason I've been waiting all this years
Somebody holds the key
I can't find my way home
But I can't find my way home
But I can't find my way home
But I can't find my way home
Still I can't find my way home
And I've done nothing wrong
But I can't find my way home
JC kills it! Gr8 arrangement & playas! Luv it!
I saw Joe open for Stevie Ray Vaughan back in 1990 in CT. I don't really remember much of it, but feel lucky that I got to see them both.
YES I THINK THIS IS THE BEST CUT ASIDE FROM STEVES'
Great version. My favorite is the studio version by Joe Cocker that I have on CD. I oughta load that sucker out here for you guys.
The unique voice and soul
the original song belong to BLIND FAITH - a great Group of 1969 . with Eric Clapton , Steve Winwood & company :-) i love Joe Cocker & his love and care for past songs are evident : from Can't find my way home to Ain't no Sunshine , from You've got to hide your love away to Mustang Sally ... wao :-)
