Wow. Nadal was AMAZING in this tournament. Look at these serves, at these shots...Such a shame he never played like this again. USO 2013 was also great, but in a different way. Sad he can't play like this anymore.
In 2010 he was hitting with less topspin and more power. Shame he doesn't use that often enough. That's the lack of good specialist near him, except for Toni. All the other top players changed their coaches over the years to improve different aspects of their game. Nadal never did that and he pays for it in some way. To me the biggest weakness in his game is the serve. Completely lacks that and ironically, the serve is the most important shot in tennis. The only time the serve worked as good as it has to be was exactly in this tournament here. His career is great anyways, but could have been even better with better serve. Imagine Federer with Nadal's serve. He would have retired after 2013 for sure.
nadal's service depends on his confidence and his level of play. When he plays with confidence his service is very dangerous.not get a lot of aces, does not mean it does not have a good serve, and difficult to attack
This is the attacking Rafa. Just take a look at the last point to see how aggressive he can play. He hasn't replicated this ever again after this match. I mean, hit the shit out of the ball this consistently throughout a match. Doha 2014 vs Monfils comes close. If Rafa were to play with this flatter, attacking game at Wimbledon, he'd stand more than a chance to take the title. Even considering the lower bounce. He wasn't always on the baseline this match but he proved in 2013 that he has the skill to half-volley winners on the bounce, inside the court. I know he's still capable of this today, it was emphasised during the French Open final this year in the closing stages against Thiem after he suffered from cramps in his left forearm/hand region. Come on Rafa, bring out your practice level to the real match, play freely, absent of fear of missing! Blast that ball!
Playing like this consistently comes at a price. Long-term injuries, which Nadal got a back injury right after winning this tournament. Then another injury came at the Aussie Open against Ferrer the following year.
That was probably the best way to beat 2011 Djokovic. Win points quick and flat. The Nadal we got in that year was staying too far back and pushing players into errors.
2010Nadal is a monster.
2010 Nadal wasn't going to lose to anyone at the USO lol
Nadal played/dressed like an assassin in this tournament.
10/10 for nadal, everything ranging from serve, attack, defence was perfect
Almost close to Federer at 2007, Aussie Open.
Feed nextgens to this Nadal and 2011 Novak, they eat them for breakfast, lunch, brunch, evening tea, dinner & supper.
Feed the current versions of the Big 2 to those versions and the results would still be the same.

NLLeFa he stopped serving like this due to the pain it caused him in the shoulder, but it was indeed a sight to behold
2013 Nadal was the best defender, 2010 Nadal was the best attacker.
We can't forget his defending in 2009 against Verdasco in the Australian Open though. I think that match was his very best defending.

nadal's fastest serve to date in this match:135 mph
Hit a faster serve in Madrid 2017. Hit 136mph against Kyrgios
0:56 THAT FOREHAND!
Never seen those unbeliaveble flat shots ever again!WOW
There isn’t a player in history that could beat this Nadal
Prime Federer can
2011 Novak and Prime Federer could.
@Bobby.546 Nadal was living rent-free in Federer's head at this point. Federer didn't figure out the block until 2017.
@@jacobschmidt2709 he beat djokovic in 4 sets. Djokovic had no answer for nadal’s 135 mph serve.
2010 USO Nadal >>> 2019 USO Nadal.
Obviously.

That aces in the 3rd game. Better than Isner!
It is interesting that two times that we saw Rafa playing extremely aggresive and both times were at US Open 2010 and US Open 2013.
Rafa steals the show and that title❤
フォーム、フットワーク、勢い、2010のナダルは特別なものがある
If Nadal kept this serve.......
This Nadal vs Djokovic 2011...🤔 Good match sure
Nadal 2010 in 4 tight sets

this is perfection
please upload to nadal istomin usopen2010
When Rafa turns God mode on !
Serve🤩🤩
He couldn't sustain this it hurt his shoulder
Lmao imagine if lopez ever had an above average backhand and a good forehand.
Este que para un
López era más lento que una tortuga embarazada.
