I love Thomas Jane, but this really nailed home Jon as Frank, he saw his daughter in her so heavily and it didn’t feel forced, it felt organic and so well written

The young actress who played Amy in the scene was terrific! I couldn't tell if she would cry, hurl, or scream. The understated dialogue between her and Frank was riveting because she was obviously having such a visceral response to pulling the trigger. Well-acted, hell of a scene. One of the countless moments in the really excellent Netflix/Marvel Defenders shows.

This is why the Punisher is the best at what he does. He's careful, he's precise, he moves with military efficiency. No mistakes, no variables, no quarter.
And he's the Punisher because every one of them deserved it. Everyone gets their second chance. And when that chance is tossed aside, God sends him in to clean up.

Its the little touches like this that make this show great. He shot the guy so that she didn't kill him. It shows that he cares but also that he is so morally detached that he doesn't see why that wouldn't help. He may have actually killed him but she still gave the man a fatal wound. It was the best call for the situation but not everyone can suppress a feeling of guilt with simple logic.

I like the fact that the trope was broken, but also that she had a realistic reaction to having shot someone. Granted she probably would've been a little deaf for a second, but, still.
THIS This goddam scene Frank taking the responsibility off of Amy's conscience because it's his life, his burden, and he doesn't want her anywhere near it = the most heartwrenching scene in two seasons.
