Gold dust!! Thanks John for putting this on, as I never had the chance to meet Harry & ask him key questions... I was hugely thankful to have done so with Bill Stowe...and this is fantastic footage & to hear Harry speak about his coaching methods is wonderful... thanks again... this is footage to savour/study...
I am curious, what do you think of the way you were rowing, knowing all that you do now... ?
There are moments when the eight seems to flow beautifully... but what was it like? What were the key components you can remember about that flow...? The slightly earlier square than the east Germans... helps with prep... & poise into catch looks steady...& the boat is running beautifully with a clean pick-up... but thoughts about this...? What were the best features of this technique for you? AB

I know this is a HUGE long shot, but do you perchance have access to any footage of the *lightweight* mens 8 team from '79? My dad was in that boat, and I know my whole family would love to see footage of him in his physical prime.
    Thanks!!

      Hi Ted,
I got this off the Harvard archives, and I believe they had it because it was Harry's crew. I did not see any of the LW8+.
      Who was your Dad?
