After 5 mins I thought wow he bought you a lot of books but then I saw the video continues for 8 mins😂. You really are living the dream of every book lover 😍
Anyone who wants to read books but doesn’t have the money then investing in a kindle can be really good because you are not buying the paper just the story! Loves your videos!!
I need to say that I dream about the day you’ll do a tour showing all of your books hahaha 🥺
That would be a veeery long video😅
Great collection of books. I hope that you will enjoy reading them. You will shortly be able to open your own bookshop... "Elena's Emporium" - coming soon to Stuttgart and Cambridge.
Haha if law doesn’t work out, might become a bookseller!
I’m preparing my debit card because I want to buy all these books. They sound really interesting
I didn't know wht to read and u jst posted this😍 thnx for the book wishlist ❤
Wow he's so generous. :) I'm sure you will have lots fun reading those books. Enjoy!
Thank you🤗
Love the vídeo!! Please, when you finish reading them, make another vídeo talking about them, which one was your fav… I would really enjoy ☺️ kisses from Portugal 🥰
Thank you for the video idea - I‘ve put it on my video ideas list!
I do Eselsohren as well, don't worry, we are many! :D Carefully researched as always, thanks for posting!
The poor books :(
Wow...I would love to read the book you show.😍😍😍😊
Glad you are about to hit 100k
„Berge des Wahnsinns“ von Lovecraft ist echt klasse! ;)
Hallo Elena, ich finde es toll, dass du auch Fantasy magst!
I have only read the first few chapters of the Red Queen book and I liked it immediately.
Hi Elena, I really enjoyed the vid. I have a video idea/suggestion: nail care tips and if you go to a place or do it yourself. Your nails always look so long and your manicure on point 😊
I’m adding all of these books to my reading list, thanks for sharing! 💫 Keep rising to be who you want to be! 💫 #keeprising #risingtobe #aswerise #riser
Hamnet is a wonderfully evocative book imagining the creative hinterland of Shakespeare's most famous play, itself a meditation on mortality and family relations. I really hope you enjoy it. In reality, very little is known about Shakespeare's family and his private life but this book does a great job making sense of the fragments and describing late 16th century rural life (in a time of plague too!)
Such a good video, I'll definitely buy some of those.. but I always ask myself; do you remember all the books that you've read? Because I tend to forget literally everything after some time!! Now I take notes while reading lol
I’m such a big fan! I wish I can meet you one day :)
Your vlogs are really fun and amazing
Thank you💫
I really love books.😍♥️
Sternstunden der Menschheit is such a good read!! the stories are very well-paced and each one is more intriguing than the previous one. I absolutely loved it! also it is such a gem for history nerds like me
That’s great to hear - looking forward to reading it🤗
I read the death of a salesman in my AP English class in high school. It's not a riveting story by any means but it's highly symbolic and there's so much to analyze. I really really enjoyed it for how slow and uneventful the story is the story is. But I also really enjoy analysis and symbolism and thematics and things like that so if that's not your thing it's not your book
ASH PRINCESS IS SO GOOD I LOVED IT
Yes! Books!
Patrick Ness is an amazing author!
3 more recommendations:
1) A song of ice and fire series
2) The umbrella academy
3) The witcher
All of these books have been also adapted on the television as great web series but believe me these books are epic!!!
Thank you for the recommendations🤗💫
I will read this books, always love the books you recommend, lots of love ❤from india.
Elena, I recommend Romanov by Nadine Brandes. It’s really good and It has magic and spells in it. For some odd reason, the cover gives me the winter vibe even though the book takes place in the spring and summer of 1918.
Thank you for the recommendation🤗💫
Every time I watch your videos I feel so comfortable bc of your voice. 👀
Never got complimented for my voice before - thank you🤗💫
I started reading Disciplined Entrepreneurship by Bill Aulet this morning but as our power had been turned off and Dad could not go to church via zoom we decided to go to Hungry Jacks and try a Big Jack in a small meal.
Stefan Zweig is priceless!!! His Schachnovelle is amazing!
As a side note: Edgar Allen Poe and the Uncanny from Sigmund Freud go hand in hand. And if you than consider the gothic genre... the dream of a complit student
Thank you for recommendation and Schachnovelle is amazing - we read it in school and loved it🤗
@@ElenaHandtrack I can also recommend Die Welt von Gestern
You had fun! What a kind and generous gift!! Hamnet was excellent and very timely! Will you be returning, in person, to Cambridge in the fall?
Hopefully but let’s see whether the pandemic allows for that! But for now I’m planning to return in late September/early October🤗
@@ElenaHandtrack Agreed! Stay safe, whichever way it goes!!! xx
From which book would you like to start reading. And can you make a video about this books after you finish them .
Great 👍
Give a Boy a gun wird häufig im Englisch Unterricht besprochen. Hatte mir anfangs etwas anderes von dem Buch erhofft, aber letztlich war es nicht schlecht
Hey, a nice collection you got there. Have you read the Atomic habits by James clear? I find that book to be quite good and worth my time. Just my preference
I haven’t yet but it’s on my TBR list🤗
I love it
my favorite books are glass sword
Elena....how long does it take you to read, say, 100 pages?! I'm sooo curious!
This video basically is my new book wish list now😅 also, where will u store all these books?
Yeah thats a good question 😅😅 she says all the time she is out of space so maybe we'll just start seeing book stacks in the middle of the floor soon 🤣
Haha I wish I knew😂 I guess I’ll have to make space for them!
I love this Stream i need some help with Sci fi books for Kids I love Twilight as well Can you do some streams on what new books are coming out in August thanks
Wow🥰
Can you recommend books for German learners?
Next video be like I made a whole room in my house a book store
If you liked 'The Crucible' by Arthur Miller he also wrote a play called 'A View From the Bridge' which themes include the law (especially regarding immigration), so I think you might like this one as well!
Thank you for the recommendation🤗
Do you use goodreads? I'd love to follow you there, too :)
A Tale for the Time Being ist the first book I didn't finish. It's a good read but I found it so upsetting, I eventually had do put it away. I don't want to add spoilers but the theme is very heavy.
Oh that’s good to know in advance - thank you for the warning🤗
All books by Carlos Ruiz Zafon are awesome. 😊
That's true 💯 💯 💯
you very cute and i like it !!!Love books like love family haha
Did you know the HAUNTING ADELINE from H.D Carlton (set in a ‘haunted’ mansion, dark, gothic and spooky as hell romance, stalker that low key gave me the chills but I wanted him in my bed, was at the edge of my seat but in the best way possible) was banned in the first month of its release on Amazon? That’s how deliciously dark it is!
And also Vibe from Liza James has been banned as well for being too dark and smutty? They will most likely ban Hush since that’s WAY WAAAYYY darker than Vibe.
💡Video Idea: Rating Banned Books from Amazon. Are they really worthy enough to be
banned?
Maybe turn it into a reading vlog if you have the time?
The books that are banned are:
Haunting Adeline H.D CARLTON
Sick Fux TILLIE COLE (banned on KU)
Vibe LIZA JAMES. Probably Hush as well
The Dare HARLY LOUREX
Others include:
The Wild K WEBSTER
This is War Baby K WEBSTER
Shame me Not FIONA COLE
Would love to see this ❤️🔥💀
Hey this may be out of context but you mentioned in one of your videos that Yale was your dream school. So it occurred to me that Yale doesn't offer undergraduate law degree right after high school. So i wondered which major you wanted to take there or did you wanted to take pre law? Or does Yale have a undergraduate law degree that I'm unaware of? Please let me know :)
Hello, I wanted to let you know that the typical path toward a law degree in the U.S. is to earn a bachelor's degree (this typically takes four years), take the LSAT (Law School Admissions Test) and then upon acceptance work towards earning your J.D. (Juris Doctor). Law school typically takes three years. You can find out more about the Yale admissions process here: law.yale.edu/
Hi! I would’ve done a politics-related major!
@@ElenaHandtrack Oh thank you for replying but don't you think those 4 years are better spent now? Now that you can do a llm or j.d? And practice in UK and USA?
I can also highly recommend "Trotzdem ja zum Leben sagen" by Viktor Frankl. He was a psychologist and was deported to a concentration camp during WW2. In this book he describes what he witnessed and how he survived through the eyes of a psychologist 🤗
Thank you for the recommendation🤗💫
How awfully i miss your videos....
Hi dear, now that it's summer, could you do a Morning routine vacation edition/summer edition? Xx
Probably not since my morning routine is super chill during summer break and not very structured🤗
Hi Elena, would you consider doing a podcast?
I don’t think I have the time to do one - sorry💫
Omg I DNFd the red queen series so hard
if law doesnt work out for you, you can just become a library! 😆
😂📚📚
I download books for free and read them in my tab, after reading i'm deleting them
This is getting weird…. Are you in a relationship with your mommas partner???
What?
Because he bought her books?
Why weird? She has said before that he is like a father figure to her. And in that role, I don‘t see what is weird about buying her a gift? I mean she must be like his own child to him in some way so I don‘t think there is anything weird about that?
What a distasteful comment…
