On behalf off the "suspension killer" Greek gravel stages, welcome back WRC. Bring an extra set of tires... will you... (best old school gravel stage in Greece is Meteora)
How on earth isn't Ouninpohja and Col de Turini P1 and P2 respectively??? Btw happy to see my country's Greece legendary stages so high, but I think Tarzan is the best of all 3
Whoever picked the stages was obviously Finnish. Not a single Australian stage lmao Missing Sweet Lamb is just atrocious. But we got 2 stages featuring same road with yellow house, just going opposite ways xD
Some amazing stages there, and from a NZ perspective, Whaanga Coast is pretty special. But the greatest stage in NZ, if not all of rallying, will always be the mighty Motu stage. *Mic drop*
As a Portuguese person, even I was disappointed to see Ouninpohja wasn't 1st. 2nd should have been Whaanga Coast, then Col du Turini, El Condor and then Sweet Lamb. I like the Portuguese rally but I don't think any of the stages are special enough to make it to the top 3. From a spectator's point of view, maybe because there are just so many spectators there but from a driver's point of view, the ones on my list are far better stages. I don't know who came up with this list but it's all wrong.
@@armaniquintas I totally agree! I love rally Portugal and I think Fafe should definitely be in the top 3, but Ouninpohja as #5, El Cóndor as #8 and Turini as #10 is a joke. This looks like a top-20 sponsored by Greece hahaha! Other great stages that are missing in addition to Sweet Lamb include Bunnings (Australia) and some classing tarmac San Remo stages, too. Sad thing is Argentina has 3 stages in the top 20 but has no rally this year or in the forseeable future :/
@@gigadonis8684 He respected the roads but he also knew he had no change to win here so he did not come here. He was smart in that way. He knew how crazy finns like Alen was here. And offcourse not everyone likes them. Thats why we are humans we have different tastes.
Ouninpohja WAS the most grueling stage (never thinking about Safari, anyway) along with basically ALL of the Rally Acroplis ones. Col de Turini is tough, but if there's any snow or ice, it becomes a sluggish one. If the real, one and only Safari was here, well... ALL stages were absolutely crazy. Sadly, those days are gone forever for the WRC. Rally Japan anyone? If this was "historic" we should start from the 70's to today. I sincerely believe there are stages which are run by locals that can cast quite a shadow over the ones you chose. You have shots from the early 2000's to some very recent rallies. Let's do the "VERY BEST stages captured on film". You have them all. When we didn't wear helmets or fire-proof garments. That would be AMAZING!
Surprised to see so many from Acropolis, maybe it's in a bid to promote the upcoming return to Greece. Also surprised El Brinco, Monte Lerno and El Montmell aren't included. I think it just highlights which events are a must on the calendar, Argentina, Mexico, Portugal, Monte Carlo, Finland, Sweden and Germany & New Zealand needs to make a comeback
@@appapag7036 ya Acropolis is a great event, but it's more of a car-breaking endurance, than one that has outstanding stages, but great to have it back on the calendar, hopefully that can extend into the future.
Acropolis is part of WRC history and its one of the oldest and most prestigious events of the championship. It doesnt need promotion. The stages were always and will always be packed with people and popular with fans because besides being rough they are fast and difficult to tackle
@@pit19931 I'd agree with ya 100%, it's great to have it back on the calendar and let's hope it remains on the calendar, but I just wouldn't have picked any stages from it as standouts, just coz all the stages were quite similar in my eyes, whereas there's more iconic stages in less iconic rallies elsewhere, but great to be going back to the Acropolis again.
Raglan in nz i drove this stage and quickly said this has to be a wrc stage before i found out it was. Gravel cambered corners and huge drops into the sea with mega views.
I was kinda hopeing to see Pila-Bliznec or Kumrovec from Croatia rally. Pila-Bliznec is more of a hillclimb than rally stage but Kumrovec is really something spectacular.
Dear WRC gentlemen, excuse me so much, but where is Italy? It seems to me that Sardinia has spectacular special stages to offer, and if we wanted to go back to the recent past, the Sanremo Rally traveled along spectacular roads in Tuscany, which are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I hope you are not offended, mine is only constructive criticism. Thank you goodbye.

Missing Bunnings from Rally Australia. So many highlight reels of the 90s feature cars coming down the jumps of that stage
Fafe is the cathedral of rally. No arguments needed.
