In the episode where Dr. Spaceman gives Jenna dieting pills that he later finds out will keep her awake until she dies from sleep deprivation, so he storms into the studio, onto the talk show stage, grabs Jenna in her bear costume and keeps banging her head on the table, shouting 'GO TO SLEEP, GO TO SLEEP!'

Community managed to sneak in a few jabs at NBC. But yeah, 30 Rock was an in-house production backed by people like Lorne Michaels.
they figured correctly that it was aimed solely at over educated, overpaid smart urban people who would love it and they weren't wrong, and that it was so wildly over the heads of troglodytes who watch Roseanne et al that they wouldn't even be able to get agitated because it was simply way above their comprehension and they were confused
