I am Dutch, so for me English is my second language and the first time watching the Slingblade joke I only got one of the 3 jokes 😂😂 its been very rewarding going back now that my English has improved. Definitely my favourite comedy show :)

The first clip and every bit of Kenneth’s back story is my favorite gag of the story
He was written mostly by Donald Glover because he’s from Georgia like Kenneth
I've never noticed this scene despite seeing that episode so many times
My favorite Kenneth joke is when he's asked, "Kenneth, what's wrong with you?!"
He replies, "well, technically my parents are brothers."

One of the most "should have left it in" deleted scenes is the one where that guy who is one of the three potential fathers for Jack recognizes Kenneth from his platoon.
I'm STILL upset about how underrated this entire show is.
I fall asleep to this show every single night. It's my comfort blanket until the end of time.

@@Cactina Definitely wouldn’t call myself young. But 30 Rock has never ruled TV, specifically on NBC during that comedy block that that ran for two hours that also gave us Community, and Parks and Recs. Those honors of ruling NBC during that time belongs to the Office. The Office did fairly well with critics (not as well as 30 Rock), but they dominated in viewership. Hell, even Tiny Fey said on the series finale, when the entire cast was saying their goodbyes to us “…not a lot of people watched, the joke’s on them.”
@@Gabs.q I was referring to the low viewership compared to the Office. Even Tina Fey even mentioned it in the series finale about how not many people watched them, but the joke was on them.

My favorite is S5ep1 when Tracy says to Kenneth, "why don't you come back home to TGS and pick the peas out of my fried rice? And the rice. I just want carrots."
I looked up Hepatitis D to find out if it's real and it is. And it can only survive if someone also has Hepatitis B. So Jenna has Hep B as well

Louise Belcher is saner than all of us.
Still trying to find out why this humor worked so well here, but fails so often in the spiritual successors (Kimmy, great news, Mr mayor). I think it's the brevity and the comedic timing.
I thought it worked really well in Kimmy. Titus is a great character and there are at least a couple of really funny bits in every episode (to me, at least, because I know it’s not universally loved).
I agree about the other two, though.
I think it's also the time. 30 Rock is kind of a mean show. A brilliantly funny but kinda mean show. Audiences nowadays are tired of real life and want something sweeter. But when you add sweetness in like with Great News or Mr. Mayor it makes the comedy punch less!
