@@PARADOXzss When fast startup is turned on, when you shut down the computer it doesn't actually shut the computer down but merely in a state of hybrid sleep. That's why it starts up faster.
Depends heavily on what kind of distro. Unfortunately all mainstream Linux distros nowadays are around 100 times more bloated and accordingly slower than Windows 98. While beating modern Windows though.

On linux they both would be x1.5-x2 times faster 😂 according to my experience with t60 and t430
