Jeremy wanted to drop out of being the Prime Minister of the UK but had to get his dad's nod first. Jeremy wanted to pursue a career in acting, not politics. Luckily for him, the story of dropping out of being Prime Minister has let his fame be on the up. Jeremy is getting phone calls about wanting him for roles in famous franchises, like Star Wars and Marvel, all the time now!
I've listening this english news reviews since 2020, when the covid-19 really hits our world. Now, it is my daily routine to at least play 1 podcast a day and it really helps my english improve. I am from Indonesia btw 🎉
Thank you, BBC, for those kinds of podcasts. In my point of view, I find them absolutely interesting. Moreover, they make us more conscious about what happens worldwide.
This winter, I DROPPED OUT of studying law and my job as a paralegal, taking distance from law field completely. In spring, I traveled to South Asia and reconsidered what I want to do in my life. My life's missron is helping others with my skills and making them happier. Now, in summer, I restarted studying law to be a lawyer. My motivation is definitely ON THE UP.🔥
Hi, there.😊 My English skill has been definitely on the up since I came across BBC Learning English. I'm positive I won't drop out of your channel. It looks like we can't take our eyes off the presidential race. I wonder who will have the last laugh?! As always, thank you for your outstanding lesson.👍👏👏
It's such a pleasure to learnt the news and at the same time keep improving our English. Many thanks for this lesson. By the way I love phrasal verbs but also "set phrases". Not sure if for instance "get the nod" it's a set phrase. Thanks again!
We're glad you're enjoying Learning English from the News! 'Get the nod' is an idiom and a set phrase. You can learn more set phrases from the English We Speak on our website: bit.ly/3xoeZxt
I once dropped out of technical school, even though my parents hadn't given me the nod to do so. At the moment, chances for me to secure a managing position at my company ain't on the up
This podcast is amazing , especially for those folks preparing themselves for taking the Ielts academic exam . The fact that KM is on the up , basically means she has now more chances to beat DT in the upcoming US presidential election after JB’s drop out . Getting Democratic Party ‘s nod is a clear signs that she’s someone in whom many people trust to be in charge of the whole nation and to carry out effective policies that bring prosperity and stability within the country .

Good luck for the Donald Trump In my opinion, he is the future of the America 🇺🇸 and saving people from bad thoughts that destroyed the meaning to be human such as 🏳️⚧️ and 🏳️🌈…
Esteemed BBC Team, I am writing to earnestly request the resumption of your review series in video format on your website. The latest upload, dated June 6, 2024, has left a notable void, particularly for those of us who greatly miss the insightful contributions of Neil, Georgie, and the rest of the team. The transition to a podcast format, while appreciated, does not quite capture the dynamic essence and visual engagement of the original videos. It is my humble appeal, and I believe I echo the sentiments of many, to consider reinstating the video reviews. For fellow supporters of this request, please manifest your agreement by liking this comment, thereby encouraging the BBC to take favorable action. With anticipation and appreciation.
😊 Thank you for your very well-written request. We are very pleased that you enjoyed BBC News Review, which you can still find on our website: bit.ly/45llaPm. "Great video! Your explanation of [1:30] is really clear and easy to follow. I also covered a similar topic on my channel and would love to hear your thoughts on my approach! Keep up the awesome work, it's always inspiring to see high-quality content like this!"
Thank you for your podcast. For your information, Canadians are very much concerned about the election , and majority of us do not like Trump. Personally, I hope Trump will lose.😊

Both Joe and Kamala are bad options to learn your English from, unless you want to learn mumble-speak and word-salad.
