Seriously the amazing editing has been as big of a part of this show as Brad is. I know the "Goin Places" tag of It's Alive! signifies that this series is a little different then the standard "It's Alive!" so I can't complain that the editing is slightly less crazy on these versus the standard episodes, but I wish it was just as wild as those normal episodes, I think the funny subtitles and little clip-art images flying around on screen and pretend interacting with Brad was just as instrumental as Brad in making this show so great and popular. I hope they don't lose that crazy style of editing when they go back to making the regular episodes again, I seriously loved it and it combined with Brad was what made this show what it is.

Now there are expectations to be met and a lot more on the line; it's very difficult to keep the same loose, spontaneous feel of the early efforts that made them so successful. Now there's a formula to be followed. It's a classic pattern of production in many mediums, including bands, writers, artists, and comedy in general. "We love how free and quirky and spontaneous you are! Ok, now just keep doing it on demand! No pressure."
Everything about this, down to the little girl blessing the food, was such a sensitive and caring celebration of Hawaiian culture. Major props to Brad and the BA team for doing projects like this, food brings us all together!
If only people had this kind of reverence and respect for all cultures and religions, including christianity...which by all measures is the most persecuted religion on the planet right now.

Still I have seen a lot more discrimination and hate against other religions, especially against Muslims since we have a lot of refugees here (in Germany) and for some reason a lot of people dislike them being in our country. The only times I see hate against Christianity is when some radical believers start dragging their innocent children into cults or find some other ways to destroy their lifes. I’m thankful BA does this. Hunting has left a bad taste in my mouth because it’s become so contemporarily about the “sport” of hunting. When at its root hunting has always been about sustaining the local environment. I study sustainability and it made me really happy to hearing the people BA worked with explain why they hunt boar and how it provides for not only their community but the local ecosystem as a whole. That stuff is important-not killing bc you can and want a wall mount. (Btw I speak from a background where hunting is very popular in my family. Not all huntsmen have that negative mentality I hate but I’ve seen it all too well.)

In the 19th and 20th centuries, Western Culture went crazy with hunting as a pastime, with the rise of tourism and Safari, resulting in extinctions. Consumerism is the root of awful hunting practices. Modern hunters have largely rejected those patterns of behavior and now provide almost all of the resources for conservation. Hope this helps to explain why so ,any love this ancient sport, this ancient ritual.
If people want to mount horns on a wall to remember a hunting experience, there isn't anything wrong with that. Even hunting for sport isn't bad, assuming the meat is kept. People need to stop judging how different people hunt, so long as they kill quickly and eat the animal.

I think my favorite part about his trip to Hawaii is the fact that he was so eager to do things in the traditional Hawaiian way. He wanted to go hunting and do what the natives would do, and he wanted to show that to the world. I love this aspect of this series, its just so caring of other cultures.

I grew up in those hills and played with the sleeping grass every day. I would make sure they were all closed around the yard and do it the next day again.

It was such a treat to watch this. I felt so much joy at seeing this way of people coming together to honour each other, the mother earth, the abundance she offers and the connection that brings them together. Those children are so lucky to be brought up like this.

You can buy seeds easily. Try Amazon. I have gotten seeds from the target dollar section even. It may not be the exact same plant but it does the same thing and looks very similar. Try looking up senstive plant seeds.
There are homesteaders in Hawaii which grow and ferment cacao and vanilla. I’m sure there are fruits and fishes which are fermented traditionally. Brad in a loincloth mashing poi the traditional way would be hilarious. Just ideas.

White people can look at an entire culture based on sustainability, family, and respect, and they just destroy it! I am so happy that the fox is for the last few episodes has been sustainability and ethical practices when hunting. Too many other people give hunting such a bad name. I'll admit, I had a negative perception of hunting until I was able to see what an important practice it is when it is used for survival, not for sport. And this looks like such a good meal!

I grew up in those hills and played with the sleeping grass every day. I would make sure they were all closed around the yard and do it the next day again.
The little girl who said grace (I don’t know how to spell her name) was one of the best parts of this episode. Freaking adorable.
it's a beautiful language even though the only part I understood was Mahalo at the end

It was such a treat to watch this. I felt so much joy at seeing this way of people coming together to honour each other, the mother earth, the abundance she offers and the connection that brings them together. Those children are so lucky to be brought up like this.

Please keep doing videos like these!!!! Love the hunting and fishing videos. It's so so so good to see hunting painted as the respectful way of providing food it is and not some evil activity. Most hunters really care about the animals and are so respectful to them and the environment and people don't realize that.

You can buy seeds easily. Try Amazon. I have gotten seeds from the target dollar section even. It may not be the exact same plant but it does the same thing and looks very similar. Try looking up senstive plant seeds.

Vivian Garcia I 100% agree! Ever since my grandmother and mom told me about what commercial tourism has done to the islands of Hawaii... I just feel so embarrassed about my race. White people can look at an entire culture based on sustainability, family, and respect, and they just destroy it!

I am so happy that the fox is for the last few episodes has been sustainability and ethical practices when hunting. Too many other people give hunting such a bad name. I'll admit, I had a negative perception of hunting until I was able to see what an important practice it is when it is used for survival, not for sport. And this looks like such a good meal!
i cant express properly how much i love the philosophy of this show; respecting nature and living with it, not in it, is what real sustainability needs to aim for. imma cry :')
