Rodents kept eating food out the bin bag overnight and the wind blew it on the floor so I made a hook to attach to the wheelie bin and hang the bin bag off

This is exactly what I love about 3D printing. If it’s paired with some 3D modeling skills, it’s so much fun! The most recent thing I modeled was a bathroom fan cover. 😊

Dude a few Lego bricks solves this issue.
Older models yes, but newer ones are thicker than a stud, meaning it's hard to get it stable.
@@AceOfBlackjackOne Lego plate and a few bricks is all that's needed. The thickness of the phone is irrelevant.
Take this a step further and you could just make a whole as tripod too

What tool is he using to clean up his prints? And what would people recommend to use to clean up smaller prints that have stringy parts after being printed
I had a nice non-stick pan that has no lid
Last night I realized one of my plates fit on it as a lid PERFECTLY
Hopped on my PC, designed a handle, epoxied it to the back of the plate, boom now I have a lid with a handle that fits perfectly for $0.21
What software do you use to create the designs?
Same issue I had with the LA View security cameras I bought, they work great but can't angle the camera view down! So I designed a stand that holds the base giving me the full 180 degrees as 90 up or 90 down.

What printer do you have ?
This afternoon I was wondering where I was going to find a 4mm wrench locally for a project, then my brain kicked in and remembered I have a printer. A quick thangs search and 20 minutes later, I have a 4mm wrench.
I use resin 3d printer, so it is actually kinda annoying to clean up lol

If I need a stand for my phone in landscape, I grab my sunglasses or some Lego. If I need it in portrait, I grab Lego again, or a roll of ductape. Cheap, easy, effective.
Oh, the roll of tape isn't to stick the phone to something. I put the bottom of my phone into the cardboard ring.

Hundreds and hundreds of dollars spent to custom make something versus like the $10 to get something next day delivery.
I mean sure. 3D printing is a great hobby (If you're loaded) but people do be trying to tell us that they're saving money with them.
Sure it's got a high start up cost but after that all it is is up to like 5 bucks for a Huge print
It definitely helps having a 3D printer already to hand for sure! But we think there is amazing value in investing in a cheap one and printing your own bits for work/home/diy etc!
