MY RECOMMENDATIONS BELOW FOR MORE ERIC: - Double Trouble Live 1978 (MY ALL TIME FAV) - Cream live 1968 or 2005 - Every song from “Nothing but the Blues” - Derek and the Dominos live at Fillmore (Let it rain or Why does love got to be so sad mainly) - I shot the sherriff at Crossroads 2004 and at MSG 2004 - Edge of Darkness at 24 nights - Thrill is Gone with BB King in 1985 or at White House - Old Love (24 nights, w/ Robert Cray and Unppluged)
You'll love the original; he was a lot younger & all the original musicians are playing But in all fairness, to be a middle aged man & many of the other musicians & back up singers even older & it's all performed effortlessly? Just amazing.
I’m 72 and I love all music born in the south New Orleans and from 19 Bay Area , Berkeley so it’s Rock, Punk, Rap is my favorite Tupac no1,MGK 2, Wu , Cube, Mac Dre, NATE Dog, Richie Rich and all west coast rap, 50,NAS, Latin, Ragge and Eric is one of the greatest ❤check out Jimi Hendrix
Layla is Pattie Boyd Harrison. Eric was in love with his best friends wife, George Harrison of The Beatles. Pattie eventually left George for Eric. George and Eric managed to remain friends, George calling Eric his husband in law. Several songs were written about Pattie by George, The Beatles, and Eric.
Great reaction! As others mentioned, Layla was a real person named Pattie Boyd. If you Google songs about Pattie Boyd you will see at 10 songs and one entire album written about her. The entire album was 'Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs' by Derek and the Dominos, which was Eric Clapton's band at the time.
You need to start listening to some Alice in Chains now: Love, Hate, Love (live at the Moore theatre), Man in a Box, Nutshell, Down in a Hole, Rooster, Them Bones, Would, etc. They have a great collection of music and Layne Staley's vocals are the best!!
I wonder if you'd be interested in listening to some beautiful harmony bands, if so, then check out this one "No Matter What - Badfinger" this is a live performance. This is a Welch rock band who were active from the196o's thru the 1980's their best-known members were Pete Ham, Mike Gibbins, Tom Evans, Joey Moll. Oh and George Harrison use to call this band his band. lol Badfinger made the most of their opportunity releasing a series of highly successful "power Pop" hits, it is estimated they sold 14 million albums and led many to proclaim that the foursome was destined for Fab-Four level greatness. However, the band never achieved their full potential due to the tragic deaths of two of their members Peter Ham founding member and lead singer died of suicide in 1975 and then, band member Tom Evans took his life in 1983. This bands tragedy remains to be a cautionary tale for the rock music industry. But they left us with some beautiful music that we will always be eternally grateful for. RIP: Pete Ham & Tom Evans🔥💔🎸🎶
