    So endearing...it's amazingly thriving, I loving the sub-tropical vibes in the selection of these plants!

    Enjoy your videos. I live on Long Island. Any cold hardy cannas and colocassia I don't have to dig up in zone 7 (other than china pink). Any good sources to buy from? Thanks

    Is this in Florida?

    Nice collection, Joe! What's cool (or maybe kinda sad) is to see the other yards with nothing growing besides turf. Are there palms I can grow in a zone 5b/ 6a?

    • @BocaJoe
      @BocaJoe  7 лет назад +1

      I would definitely try the needle palm and even Sabal minor in a microclimate protected from the wind

      Ok, thanks for the tip! I have an area near the house and protected by a holly pair, would I mulch it in winter?

    • @BocaJoe
      @BocaJoe  7 лет назад

      make sure it's planted in April or May so it has the whole summer. best microclimate is the area where the snow melts first in winter. near the house. build a simple enclosure full with leaves or pine straw. email me with further questions bocajoe@comcast.net

    Thanks for the video. Where have you found all your alocasia & colocasia plants? I'm on the constant hunt but do not find anything unusual unless I go online and the price that they are asking for a 12" plant is obscene.

      I'm pretty sure he gets most of them from Brian's Botanicals:
      briansbotanicals.net/shop/
      They are having their spring pre-order right now so it is a great time to buy plants from them before they sell out. I bought some plants from them last year and just purchased some more tonight.
