I’m a Japanese customer who pre-ordered the FE. Curator looks intriguing-it seems like it could broaden the scope of development, so I’d be happy if there was an SDK or API. I also really want to get my hands on the Visor itself soon. Since it hasn’t arrived yet, I’m starting to joke that the time difference between Japan and Austin might be about three months, but I’ll wait patiently.

@@CrazyPotatow No they expect you to pay at least $1,149 for their $1,149 device. It's $1,149 + $0 or $499 + a membership. Payment plans really aren't hard concepts to grasp. The store page makes each option very clear and elementary school math fills in blanks. You're not forced to include anything.
There should only be three types of devices; Glasses, Goggles, and Headsets--- For the sake of adding a third "G" word, call it 'Gearset' if it's a headset with a comfortable and reliable battery pack as well as headstraps for comfortable weight distribution. -Should be a standard for such if you ask me. The bigger the device, the greater specs (clearly). All of them Mixed Reality, made for anything ranging from games to productivity, like that of many electronics. -And like nowadays, powered by AI. All with OS *layout modes* of; "Mixed Reality Mode", "Computer Mode ", "Mobile Mode", "Watch Mode", and (probably) "TV Mode". A clever tactic, to save budget on screens, as well as having an All-In-One Device.
There is a prepaid option for $1149. Yes, you get 1yr of Curator + warranty etc. included at that price. You can't buy another 4K/eye headset with or without all the other included features at that price. So where is the problem?

I like it, but the most important as an Immersed user is just that the app works smoothly without bugs. I don't need too much fancy features.

Nah actually they force you to include in their monthly membership program. Or “prepay” for it for a year.
You can still use the device after one year without paying, you just won't have the advanced features.

Will Visor be able to support HDR content? For watching films and editing videos, this would be a great opportunity with the 4K Micro OLED displays

@ The prepaid option at $1150 is for 1 year. So after the 1 year is up, then what? It becomes a brick?
