Even When I Lie by Jody Ellen - with Drums and Bass

"Even When I Lie" is an original song by Jody Ellen, the amazing female singer from the band Abney Park. She recently recorded the piano and vocals for this song and shared them online. I liked it so much that I made up a drum part and recorded it. Jody said she wouldn't mind hearing it, and I'm pleased to say that she didn't hate it. She did, however, suggest that it needed some bass as well, so I called on my good friend David to lay down a bass track. This is the result.
You won't be seeing Jody in this video, as we were adding these parts to her song independently. I'm sure you'd all much prefer to see Jody singing this over us playing, but we have no footage of Jody to add to the edit. Her absence notwithstanding, all credit for the song goes to Jody Ellen. We are just making up some rhythm bits to back her up, 'cause we are fans of great music.
