It'd be more helpful if there was an "If the TNS dropdown is blank..." bit of information. I have a standard database, but cannot use any connection aside from my initially set up one and Oracle's documentation is completely useless in this regard.
When did you creat the password ....that you put in the test connection time.....or give some info about that...which password we need to put at that time ...plz

Its not mandatory that name is always ORCL, it depends on what you have given as service name when you installed oracle. Or you can go and check the tnsnames.ora file for the available service names. If you don't have access to tnsnames.ora file, please check with your Oracle DBAs.
