Federer was older than Djokovic is today playing a 31/32 Novak and he should have (the infamous match points on serve at Wimb) had a perfect record in majors (GCs + ATP Finals) against Djokovic. I'll let that sink in.. 38 Roger was the better tennis player.
@@john3260 No need for ifs. It was just a way to highlight the reality more quickly. But let me be factual. In their head-to-head at 32 vs 38, Federer had more winners, more aces, won more sets, had more breaks, break points than Djokovic. He was, not marginally but by some margin, the better player. And it really shouldn't be but he's Federer... So that's how it was.
@@funfor1lifemore winners, more sets, more aces and breaks but you're conveniently forgetting one rather important stat - wins. Every stat you mentioned is, in isolation, absolutely, completely, utterly meaningless. Novak bossed Roger for the last few years of their rivalry. Here's a stat for you - from 2016 to 2020, the last 6 meetings of their head to head, Novak was 5-1 up, also winning every time that they met in a semi or a final. That isn't close and anyone trying to say Roger was the better player is deluding themselves. Furthermore, from 2018 to 2020, Novak was leading in sets 10-5. When Roger was 38 and Novak was 32 the sets were 4-3 to Roger. Your stat about Roger leading in sets at 38 Vs a 32 year old Djokovic is just so desperately selective - it's such a tiny sample size of when they met during that era that it is basically irrelevant. But you are using it to say that Roger was FACTUALLY a better player than Novak. You are desperately clinging onto something that is simply not true. Time to accept what most have already accepted. Novak had exceeded both Roger's and Rafa's achievements and is the greatest ever. Your selective use of stats doesn't stand up to ANY scrutiny.
@michaelfoley906 I'm not reading this but everyone knows it was 1 win for each and Djokovic said that Federer was the better player. What's wrong with what I said that you need to bring it all up? Novak is a great player, Federer too. I prefer Federer, you prefer Djokovic. I was just pointing that that season Federer managed to outplay Djokovic which is an incredible feat itself. Unfortunately (for me) he did lose the Wimbledon final, I'm aware of it. :p
The 3 goats of tennis (yes I know Nole has the most chips, but all three a very relatively close compared to every single player to ever live). 🔥 🐐. We’ve been so spoiled to watch all three in our life times haha
Roger may have been the GOAT when you take winning, touching lives, beauty/creativity of his game and what a towering human being he was. But Novak is definitely the GWOAT - greatest winner of all time. Betting on a specific player if your life depended on it - Novak without hesitation.
Comments here are too stats-focused.. or arguments about who is the goat... am tired of that! I remember well this match between the two. Federer was very sharp on that particular day, and Djokovic was not able to keep up. Even Djokovic' s wife on the stands noticed her husband would loose that match. However, regardless the fact iam 100% admirer of RF's style of play, I think nobody here can argue with the fact that Djokovic was the number one player in making RF uneasy playing with.
Su majestad Roger Federer!!!

I totally agree with you, I love them all equally!
It goes in this order: Djokovic, Federer, then Nadal.
@@SnapScaperthis is what I agree with
But yeah, it was great being able to see all of them play

They only played one more time (at the Australian a couple months later), and Federer was too injured to give him a proper match.

Fed gave Novak a real beating here. Novak only won 4 points against Feds serve all match.
the ball fAST

I feel as though this is basically a Fed channel masquerading as a big 3 channel lol. Great content tho
😂 literally the only time he shows a Novak clip it's not about his tennis play but only something trivial like a questionable umpire decision
Fed makes for better clips 🤷♂️
A little comfort for 40-15 tradegy.
