Great tournament Chris was following you and hoping that you had a good time. Great finish with the caliber of fishermen that you had to compete against . Congratulations ❤
WHO WOULDA KNOWN HE WAS TALKING TO THE WINNER IN THE BEGINING. I WAS HOPE FOR A ZALDAIN WIN. I WATCHED THE WEIGH INS ALL 3 DAYS HOPING. SINCE THE CLUB I RUN IS DONE FOR THE SEASON (UPPER PENINSULA WINTERS) WAS NICE TO STILL SEE OTHERS SEASON STILL GOING ON.
Mark Cirino featured in episode 513 of Wet Fly Swing (a popular western coast fishing podcast), talked about the clash between anglers who did things in the traditional old way. As opposed to the modern angler who had better gear, technology and methods. At one point in the lengthy interview in which Mark Cirino, host of the podcast 'One True Sentence', who is an English literature teacher and a non-angler. He asked the host of the Oregon based 'Wet Fly Swing' podcast questions about fishing (based on Mark's reading of Ernest Hemingway's work). And Mark then explained that 'The Old Man and the Sea', as a story was at it's core about this clash in methods and philosophy. Between an older generation of fisherman and the new. Published in the early fifties decade by Hemingway, who spent a long time fishing in Idaho and Wyoming. It shows you that there are no new stories in fishing. They have all been written before.
What the guy said about the west coast is so true it’s too expensive for guys to get a boat to pay all the bullshit here and then you have a family rent etc. it’s sad and fishing is a dying breed here on the west coast. I have a small small window lucky for me bc of my family’s business and my plan is to move to texas by the time I’m 30 so rn I’m just trying to fish fish fish and get as good as I can

The wiser "older" I get the more I find this to be true for many things in life.
Absolutely true and as we age becomes beautifully ‘slowed’ to help *show us imho.
That hat light was dope! How do you get one of those?
It's LEGIT. Here is a link to it bit.ly/HatLight

What brand and websites do you use to get your big swimbaits
My glide baits or my Bass Mafia swimmer?
What's the rod you were using
Nice video. Wish it was 4k
Dam I can’t believe that guy got a bird to the eye ball. Hope he doesn’t lose his eye.
Your partner crushed em!
"Kyle Grover, look for him to be in the top 10 this week"..... that aged perfectly lol. like #1 in the top ten. congrats to the champ!
Is their a IG page to follow
For me? @chriszaldain for the US Open tourney league? @wonbass
Poor co angler is like…”well think we’ll throw any topwater soon?
lol I threw topwater everyday but the bite never developed like I thought it might
Literally stopped watching the NFL for this…. Good Job Charlie Chris and Trait.
Why didn't u use a net
I didn’t have one with me. I bought one that night. In my Bassmaster Elite derbs we aren’t allowed to use them
You have to be a good fisherman around there or perish.
I don't mean this toward Chris or anybody, but it strikes me that its virtually impossible to be a co angler anymore isn't it?
Buy a boat
@@bigwaterbassin4961what will that solve if I want to fish alongside a pro?
