I tried doing what you showed and my engine died. Hahaha I watch you're video looks easy but it's actually hard. Still I'm not giving up on driving manual. Thanks & God bless you!
awesome that you show another camera on the pedals which illustrate exactly what you're doing with your feet. that's way better than listening to an engineering manual worth of dialogue to describe pedal action ! thanks for posting !
Yep, my daily is a Focus ST & I love it, however it's not for everyone. Manuals are sadly a dying breed, so grab a good one while they last. I'm looking to upgrade to a Focus RS soon.
My dad got me a 2012 Jetta Volkswagon for my 16th bday. I was scared because it was a manual and I had no idea how to drive it, but honestly it is so fun to drive now that I have the hang of it🤙🏾
Good video, been watching your channel for about a month. I have a cammed 5th gen too. Your vibe is chill and you have a nice personality, I hope your channel grows and that you accomplish everything you want in life. Stay safe and keep hustlin💯👌
@Nick broskiiii of course her channel is going to grow she's amazing and very cool contact plus she's not showing her body and stuff to get views like ever other woman/car channel
Hey! Just thought I'd share the idea that if you're coming to a stop, you can go to neutral without having to depress the clutch pedal. It's a small action, but rewarding.
Jesus Sol did I say it was fast? Um no & better offf in a 6? Lol what I don’t care for your opinion of what I should be in, not your car so don’t worry about it it’s my car. Worry about yourself
Most older people out there have driven a manual when they were younger because most 80s compact cars were manuals. That said, anyone can drive a manual, you just have to want to. My advice, find yourself an empty parking lot, early on a Sunday & just give it a go... It takes practice, however you'll eventually be confident enough to go out into traffic. Newer manuals rev match for you & have hill start assist, making it nearly impossible to stall.
Hi, really enjoy your videos...may I ask, how long did it take you to get comfortable driving a manual? I've always wanted to learn how, but was always sort of nervous to try, watching this has given me some confidence to take the next step! It's very much appreciated, 😊
Beginners should coast to a stop in neutral as they're getting the hang of things. For safety, as they become comfortable driving manual they should learn how to rev match downshift coming to a stop (especially going down hill). Reason being is in a situation where a driver must accelerate in order to avoid a collision, they would likely be in gear so they only need to press the gas. However, if you just coast in neutral you would have to put the car in gear, which takes time, and that time could make all the difference. In some states it's even illegal to coast in neutral or coast on a downgrade. I say rev match downshifting specifically because of road conditions with lower traction (snow, ice, wet leaves), not rev matching will upset the balance of the car and the rear end could kick out unintentionally. And plus, less wear on your clutch/drive train. This is something all manual drivers should take into consideration, not just new ones
Had the same issue with hot starts with my 11 SS, couldn’t figure it out for over a year. Try DEI starter heat shied and look into heat soak. Only like 25 bucks my car hasn’t done it since. Car has headers full exhaust, whipple, cam, heads etc When starter gets hot it just draws too much power and cranks too long causing electrical faults. Mine would sometimes set off check engine light for crank sensor and stabiltrac traction control lights.
tmoneyZ71 my corvette GS is currently doing this. Has all the mods including cam and ProCharger full exhaust ect. Need to replace the starter and put a shield on it.
diesel85idi I was going to throw in one of the msd high cranking ones, but put the shield on and haven’t had a problem since. Left the factory sheld in also but it is just a thin plat piece on the ls3s We will see what happens this summer once it really gets hot
tmoneyZ71 That’s good to hear. On your stock starter can do you remember what DEI starter heat shield you purchased? Was it the 7“ x 24? Or 5.25 x 16.25 ?
diesel85idi It was the 7x24. Made to cut so Probably around 7x20 now but covers the whole thing pretty good. Was even able to squeeze in the stock flat one that bolts to the starter.
tmoneyZ71 That’s great. Since we originally started commenting on this, I have since put in a new Mini torque starter from Summit racing. Power master 9509 starter. It’s good for up to 18 to 1 compression. The difference is unbelievable I know for a fact it spins the car over at least twice as fast. I purchased the 7 x 24 starter wrap and wrap the starter one and ahalf times with a thick side towards the exhaust headers. Also pull the exhaust headers off the car and put an exhaust wrap on the headers all the way to the collector. And also all of the new wiring that had to be done was wrapped in the heat resistant tape. The main power wire had to be linked and 14 inches to route it correctly behind the starter in between it and the engine block so that it was away from the headers also the solenoid wire had to be lengthened about 3 inches and all of the wires wrapped in the heat resistant tape.
Girl just got a FR-S and struggling on stops. Getting the car running again after having it on N at a stop sign or light is killing my vibe 😅 Everything else, I'm aight. Nearly stalled in the middle of an intersection 2x 😢 and yes, I'm switching from N to 1st or 2nd gear while letting go of the clutch and adding gas. I don't think this car likes me. I need all the prayers
By the way, how fast do you need to move your foot when going up hill from a complete stop? Can you please show us your technique to keep the car from shutting down. Thanks & God bless you!
My son and all his friends are thrilled you can teach them how to drive a clutch. They just like to "cruise" they say. But love your video. Keep up the good work. Question: Why did you choose the cam you chose?
One thing always worth mentioning... If you can't find it grind it😂 On a serious note good video I will subscribe! I'd highly recommend learning to rev match downshift it's a great skill for manuals(potential content for your channel) win win :)
2:20 - Never hold a manual car on the footbrake. If the car rolls back and you hit another car or a person you cant say ''I just rolled a little bit'' you will be held liable as the car was out of your control. Always leave the parking brake on and release it as you're pulling away. In many countries you will instantly fail your driving test if the car rolls even an inch
once i get my tune fixed right now i cant because the idle drops and almost stalls. the tune is terrible i have to get that fixed and then i definitely will
Girlll omg, so I see that driving manual for a car is similar with motorcycles but it just seems like so much more steps. 😭😭 I taught myself how to drive a motorcycle and it was easy for me believe it or not.. but uhg.. manual cars sound like I'm gonna be stalling a lot haha. 😂
It’s cool you know how to drive a stick. Not because you’re a woman but because of your age. I know people in their late thirties how can’t drive a manual.
Wish I could send pics. RUclips is kinda primitive with the times so I can't send pics of my pattern. Would love to see if you could shift my truck pattern lol
Never drove a manual car. I drive an 18 speed semi though seems similar except I won’t be able to float gears (shifting while not using the clutch) in a car right??
Nice your video tutorial! I know how to drive manual. I have videos on tutorial manual. But, I still more explain make clear. But, my videos is good. I know how to launch.

@Abraham Marvin Flixportal :P
@Torin Quinton Thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) I really appreciate it !!
@Abraham Marvin No problem :)
