I hope Gate must go to Eurovision 2024 for Norway.Keino is one of the same sound everytime.But Gate and ther song is Traditional ,nordic amazing folk rock song.We still Lissen and love Nocturne winning song from Secret Garden.❤😅😅
If i think who i think who would have a chance in eurovision actually is KEiiNO, because they have been there before and the song is very catchy!

KEiiNO just blew me away.. Now I know we should never underestimate them. This performance was a pure perfection. Love them even more than ever ❤
KEiiNO really nailed it live. They elevated the song to a much higher level. The vocals are insanely good. It wasn't my favorite song either, but now I want them to win MGP. The hype around Gåte seems to be big though.
Agree Gåte are most probably gonna take it. I want Keiino tho 😢😮
The smart staging really elevated KEiiNO's song-now I'm addicted! Even if it didn't end up representing Norway, glad to have it in the mix in the final.

All 3 that got to the final did a really good job live and imo deserved it.
Annprincess' live performance lifted the song for me a lot, she did great. Miia did great, as I expected. Keiino AMAZED me with thier live, and *almost* even made me like their song - they floored me with their staging and ofc vocal 👏👏👏

I loved Damdiggida as a song even before the semi final but the staging and vocals just elevated it even more. It's definitely a two horse race between Keiino and Gate now for the win and i'll be happy for either to be chosen! performance wise nothing else comes close with impact! either would get top 10 in the final.
I’m so glad that almost every song is elevated on stage. Can’t wait until next Saturday! I understand why many want Keiino to win, and won’t be mad if they do. But, I think it’s time for Norway to send something else and Gåte is the perfect choice this year. Just refreshing that a song is not written especially for Eurovision, they are just doing what they’ve always been doing, so authentic.

Yes! I loved annprincess "save me" it's my fave of mgp this year, I agree it was really cool live and her vocals were perfect, also I liked Thomas " take me to heaven" and he did himself justice with the live performance ❤️😍🤩
Hei! I am norwegian and was also disappointed with Keiino, in the studio version. But then when I saw it live I was godsmacked!!! I love it and I hope we can send them to Eurovision. I do love them so much ❤❤❤🥳🥳🥳
By the way, I MUST mention the dancers of Keiino !!! Those were AMAZING !!!

Soooo excited for the final! I love 6 out of 9 songs and the other three are at least still very entertaining…. Now I just need to figure out how to turn my friends party next Sunday into a Eurovision party…..
Keiino just elevated the song so much. I disliked the song on a first listening but now I love it. It is now in my MGP top 3.
KEIINO, Gothminister or Gåte will be the top 3 I think and I so hope it will be either Gothminister or KEIINO for my personal taste, but Gåte can bring a potential win back home if they win mgp. I wish everyone good luck in the final this year, Norway did not dissapoint this year 🔥🇳🇴

They totally nailed that staging. And Alexandra's vocal is particularly out of this world here. And I also got reminded whilst watching your video of her duet with Stella Mwangi from like 2018 (I think). So totally gonna check that out again after this 😍
I think I have Keiino as my favourite now, with Dag/Anne a very close 2nd. After that, I am kinda scrambling. If My AI had a good vocal that would probably be my third. But the live performance just sadly detracts too much for me. But the the exception of my top two, everything else is kinda all on the 'nice' or 'good but not for me' level. So MGP is a definite step down from last year for me.
From this semi I would have probably put Vida and Thomas through with Keiino, They both delivered a strong and feel good performance. Annprincess I liked but didn't excite me as much as the others, and Miia is a strong singer, I just honestly kinda find the song a bit dull. And Mistra, well... it's different I give it that. And on that note I noticed in the postcard before they performed they were showing and talking about the Norwegian 1984 entry (gosh, we had 1984 references with Luxembourg this weekend too 🤪), so I was wondering if she participated then. I gotta be honest here, and spoiler alert, the Norwegian 1984 entry is possibly my least favourite Norwegian entry of all time, I would actually say 'Waltz of Death' is better than it. So yeah... 😬
But heyho, looking forward to the MGP final, hopefully on the big arena stage some of the other songs can come more alive for me than they currently are.
I like Keiino a lot but I'm not convinced this song is it for Norway this year. Having said that, cracking performance last night and Alexandra's vocals are amazing. Knew they'd sail through so chucked a vote Annprincess's way as enjoy the song and loved her voice and performance. Agree that all performances were elevated last night, particulary Thomas'.
Gate are known, liked and very much respected in Norway I believe, so I’m actually hoping this will go to ESC. It’s a powerful, emotional, captivating performance and has that Norwegian authenticity that I really feel they need to send this year after quite a few years of “pop”. I was mesmerised watching the performance last week and feel swept along by the music when I listen to it on my headphones. This will get the jury votes (something Norway has been wanting to improve on), for her fantastic voice alone and I think the viewers will stop and watch this due to the visual performance itself and be taken in by the power of the band’s performance and energy and also vote. So on that basis it could do very well at ESC and so Norway should send this.

I was in shock with Kaiino's performance, this song was Imo not that good as previous, Spirit in the Sky and Monument, but after live performance Ilove It so much❤❤❤

Hi Shane just found out with Annprincess "save me" parts of the staging represents her being bullied at school when she was younger, i liked the choreography but like most people i didnt know what it meant. ❤

This is actually turning into a 🔥 final i didnt like Keino song when i heard it first but live its a grower and i understand that they’ve already been to Eurovision and its always nice for others to get a chance, yes looking at you Sweden 😂 but damm the songs sooo catchy
i voted for annprincess she’s so underrated and i’m so happy she got through. i know the song isn’t anything special but whenever it comes on it’s stuck in my head for hours after. i know she won’t win but gåte and my ai are my top 2 anyways
KEIINO ALWAYS DELIVER THEIR SONGS LIVE AND PEOPLE HAVE BEEN UNDERESTIMATING THEM just because they believe the studio version is disappointing or underwhelming but what makes KEIINO KEIINO its their live performance they DELIVER.... SMFH

Cool that you're noticing improvement in the show this year. I completely agree!! We have a Norwegian super dancer, Mona Berntsen, who is stage director this year. She is one of Justin Bieber's dancers, and has danced with Justin Timerlake and Rihanna. And she was one of the dancers with Madonna in Eurovision in 2019.

Both NRK and Gåte themselves has gone public about the new lyrics of ulveham. EBU has accepted the use of the sampled voice of Marit Jensen Lillebuen (1879-1975) - recorded ca 1930. The intro of ulveham. Lillebuen is also stated as one of the composers of ulveham. EBU has no objections so far on the lyrics, but to be on the safe side NRK goes for new lyrics. Alexandra has perfect pitch. It's a bit unnerving. She participated in a TV show called "Stjernekamp" here in Norway ("battle of the stars"), and some of her performances there were completely nuts. You should check out her performance from the opera episode, she sang the Queen of the Night aria ("Der Hölle Rache") from The Magic Flute. She was 25 and had never sung opera before. One of the expert judges didn't know what to do with himself, it was hilarious.
About Gåte's lyrics: It uses text from a 1000 year old ballad from the middle ages, and they thus need to rewrite the lyrics as it's not considered original (which I guess is a rule for the competition). EBU actually said it was ok, but MGP still wanted them to change it just to make sure there won't be any controversies. I'm kind of sad about it, since I loved the original lyrics (and have learned them from memory, even though it's old-Norwegian which is no longer used).
Could also mention that since we're talking about text that is 1000 years old, it had no copyrights whatsoever. It is perfectly fine to re-use, as it belongs to "the people". Still, I think it's safer to change the lyrics just in case (and that they are doing it openly). So it's not plagiarism, but considered usage of folklore and tradition.

Keiino was my biggest surprise. It shouldn't have been. We all know they are a highly professional and class act but i wasn't enthused with the studio cut at all. Live, it really pops and what's more, you know that it will pop even more on the ESC stage.
Still though, my favourite song here is Miia and "Green Lights". It has hit me as to who it reminded me of. (I can be slow on the uptake at times). Remember Aksel's track for Finland that never got to go in 2020?. That's the one.
I can appreciate the quality of Göte's song but can't warm to it completely. A grower maybe?
So for me, it's Miia or "Eya" from semi 1. Wouldn't be mad if keiino won though.

I am cheering on Keiino now but I have a couple second options like Miia and Gothminister or My AI if the performance is improved vocally (not by Gaute😉 but by the female singer).

I really want Keiino to win MGP but I still think Gate will win. I think Keiino is the best option for Norway, that performance screamed televote bait. Gate is a much bigger risk which could pay off massively but could also flop hard like France in 2022 and Spain last year.
Its definitely Keiino vs Gate in the final though.

Keiino was fabulous! I am a Keiino fan and listen to their music a lot. Loved their performance last night and can’t wait to see them again in a week on a much bigger stage in Trondheim Spektrum! It’s just too bad that they are up against Gåte this year. I will be SO dissapointed if Gåte doesn’t win. If they do, I really hope Keiino will still come back to MGP again some day and represent us at Eurovision. 🇳🇴🥳⭐️
I am nervous to hear the new lyrics of «Ulveham». I know the original ones by heart and am afraid that the song won’t be as good. NRK confirmed today that they are changing the lyrics. They should have thought about this a long time ago!
as a self proclaimed lover of some trashy pop, keiino was already my number 1 😂 but the live performance, styling & vocals exceeded my expectations!! you're 100% right about alexandra too i swear she's a robot her vocals somehow sound better live than on studio cuts??
i know Gåte will probably win but i'm still keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏼🥲 also i truthfully didn't really like take me to heaven pre semi finals but omf thomas absolutely KILLED it I would've loved to see him in the finals!
I was also happy about the three that went through. I managed to get in a vote for KEiiNO and influence a vote for MIIA and would have voted for Ann Princess had I had a third vote. Perhaps MIIA's vocals were a little shaky (compared to the studio version)? I hope she can fix that.
Green Light is my favourite. Very commercial, but the vocal is so good.

Hi Shane! The right songs went through in my opinion. I had MIIA and KEiiNO included but Annprincess impressed me with her solid voice and good staging. MIIA sang amazingly! The only thing I would have liked was some more movement on stage in the darker parts. It became a bit too static and empty. But the green lasers worked well together with the lyrics. Yes, KEiiNOS song really elevated on stage. I sensed it 😉. Alexandra seems rock steady vocally and they radiate joy. However, I wasn't entirely convinced about the "talking mouths" in the headgear 😂. Sorry, maybe just me who generally has a hard time with gimmicky attributes. Shane, i knew you would like Thomas Jenssen 😊. A smile says more than a thousand words. Strong vocal effort here and it's catchy. Still team Gåte. I hope she gets the vocals together even more (where it broke a little last time). 🌺🌼💖

On a personal level i think I prefer Thomas over Miia 🤔 and Keiino did save theier song with the live version

First, yeah the staging has been too dark. I don't know why they went that way. Also, don't get Miia. Don't know what my fellow Norwegians see in it. I would rather Thomas went through. And Keiino´s song really got elevated by the staging. Didnt like it as much before. Like it a little more now. :)

KEiiNO was great, and Alexandra's vocals were incredible. Good staging too. I liked Annprincess too, not that I love the song, but she sang so~ good. I'd be happy seeing KEiiNO or Gåte in Malmö. Note apart, I find kind of stupid make Gåte change the lyrics 6 days before the final because some lines are the same as a folklore song from 1000 years ago, come on, and they've noticed just now? Not when they presented the song? And even EBU says the lyrics are ok as they are? I understand if it's in MGP bases, but in that case, the time is not correct. I don't know, it's weird.
Hi Shane. I actually was pleasantly surprised by this semi! I wasn't very fond of the songs of this night but they all made me change my mind.
Annprincess, she was not in my favourites but I really really liked it, the dancing also, she has gone up up for me.
I wasn't impressed by Mer in the studioversion but last night I didn't dislike Mer actually, I liked the staging a lot. Nevertheless, there is a moment in the song when I disconnect for some reason.
Mistra, I agree, it was better live and the staging was VERY cool, not my cup of tea though.
Thomas was terribly "fabulous" he lost me with that hahaha, But....I liked the entertainment and he made me like the song very much actually hahaha.
MIIA was also much better than I thought, very very nice!
And KEIINO, I am not a fan of this song but they are without a doubt very good. If this wins, I wouldn't mind. the thing is, I was a BIG fan of spirit in the sky and I feel that this can't get there.

I think I prefer Annprincess to Wiktorias Save me(as it is my least favorite of her entries at Melfest, but all her entries have been really strong, my favorite Wiktoria song is As I Lay Me Down). AnnPrincess was my 4th tie with Mistra. Miia was my favorite in heat 3, Vidar Villa my 2nd, because it makes me really happy, but maybe they just thought it was a too happy go Lucky song and just another guy with a guitar and a microphone on stage even if their were bright colours and some other guys beside him or the other songs were just a bit stronger. And Keiino was my 3rd. Thomas Jenssens song was a heavy high pitch/falsetto driven song and maybe people just wasn't into that.
Miia or Gate for me. I loved keiino since SITS but im really not a fan of the song or stage.

Can confirm from Norway that Gåte have been asked to rewrite the song. I think they have even posted about it on social media.

Worst semi imo, but I really loved the three winners :) They did great live. Especially KEiiNO's song was elevated for me. Even though I think it's their weakest song in MGP so far, I do think the staging was the best of the three. It's gonna be between Gåte and KEiiNO in the final, I would think. I personally love Gåte more, but I wouldn't be opposed to send KEiiNO again! :) My vote still goes to Gåte though.
Whilst it's not as good as Monument imo, Damdiggida is probably the song that I personally want Norway to send...but then I think they should send Ulveham...heart vs head😂

I would replace Gåte’s voicalist with Alexandra Rotan. Then I think Norway could had easily won Eurovision.
But Gunnhild isn’t bad either. Its just that Alexandra is one of Norway’s best singers

KEINO is the only one I remember from last night but I don't like it. Need something completely different, like Gåte. KEIINO will be the 90s all over again. Sings fantastic but the song becomes too boring, no dynamics. You always know what's coming. GÅTE is my favourite, the production and quality are excellent, lots of dynamics. Love GÅTE, but that's my opinion.
