I dont like Norway song Ulveham from Gåte . Horrible lyric and to mutch screaming . Many people are not aware of what she actually sings, which in my opinion is a cruel text from the old days. And i am from Norway ! The text copied from newspaper about the song.
She summarizes "Ulveham", based on an old medieval ballad, as the story of an evil stepmother who casts a curse on her stepdaughter - who turns into a wolf running in the forest forever. She only loses her wolf's hide if she drinks her own brother's blood.
"There will be a kind of happy - but cruel - ending when she meets the stepmother on horseback in the forest, throws herself at her, rips out her heart and drinks the blood. Because the stepmother is pregnant with her brother - thereby the curse is lifted.

I was SO surprised to see Gåte winning. With Keiino doing so well with the juries, I thought it was game over. I think Norway made the right decision - and I'm sure we're now going to have the Norwegian language represented in the Grand Final!

Was shouting from the roof tops when they won!! As much as I would have still been happy with Keiino, I’m just so happy that my favourite song from when all the songs dropped back in the beginning of January, that a lot seemed to not even care for, actually took the win! 😁❤️
Needing 152 points to win, Keiino got 146. Gåte won, and I am happy!
I am Over the moon for Gåte winning, I was so sure it was going to Super Rob or Keiino, which I wouldn't have been mad about, but I've grown rather unfortunately very attached to Ulveham. I love it, I'm so excited to see it on the Eurovision stage. It was a really solid final though, I liked watching all the performances.

I was soooo happy they won! It was really close. I wouldn't have been sad if KEiiNO got through either though. For next years MGP I hope we will be able to vote for three participants instead of only one, at least in the semis since three go through. Can't wait for Eurovision in Malmö!

It's always fun to watch NF live if possible and be surprised by the results :)
I looked at the songs I liked in the semi-finals and almost all of them were pop songs, except for Gåte who gave us a very captivating performance.
Keiino needed 152 points to win but got 146. It was CLOSE!
It shouldn't have taken that many in the first place..Not to mention the rigged juries.

Note that the "juries" in the Norwegian MGP was a selection of 10 random "international" various countries voting. Stupid idea.
I agree with you. If it's a national selection show, then maybe the juries should represent states/provinces/jurisdictions/principalities of that country.

I love that the song is in Norwegian and it will be interesting to see where this will be placed at ESC. It is not really the kind of song I like, but as so many people like it it looks like a good choice for Norway.

I wish i could gel with Gåte but i just can’t fully connect with it🤷♂️ The stage performance is super impactful and i can at least see why people love this so much. What this does at Eurovision will be interesting since many of it’s fan seem to believe this has ‘winner vibes’🤔
KEiiNO must be absolutely fuming getting that jury love and then losing by only 6 points💀 Which you’d imagine they’d have got even more performing later😬

I haven’t been able to follow MGP this year (nor any other country actually) so I’ve only seen what you’ve shown in your video so I can’t say if they chose right. But I can say I had a good laugh watching you guys 😂

I would have loved Gothminister to go, but this is just as great in my opinion. A great mix of Nightwish, Within Temptation and Eluveitie ❤ totally up my ally. Since I don't expect much of our own NF (🇩🇪) this will probably be the one I am rooting for if Sweden don't send Smash into Pieces 😅

I was so gutted, I was allmost positive they would win even before the final. But then when they werent on top with jury votes I got slight hope back for a few minutes.
But I guess in a few days I’ll be over it somewhat 😬.
It’s not a song I will go listen to, but hey at least others will, and that can give good results🤷♀️ so, theres always a positive lining hey.
It was so close for Keiino, they should be proud! But i can see Gate as the best option. Just hope it doesn't turn into a Blanca 2.0

Sad for Keiino as they were my favourite by some margin. They would have won with last years voting system which is annoying but oh well. Im sure Gate will get a good, if not great result for Norway, its currently my 3rd place behind France and Luxembourg

But I am gonna come out and say that I think Norway made the wrong choice. I am back to feeling that this won't stick with juries and televote in May. But maybe I am just bitter about KEiiNO getting so close, I can be like that sometimes 🤪

No matter how many times I listen to the song (and it's been A LOT till now) - I always get goosebumps. This is why I love Eurovision. I get to know bands like Gate. Bands, that will stay on my playlist forever with all their music.
On the contrary - I didn't like Keiino this year at all. I think it was my least favourite song out of all National Finals :P

Happy with the result as these were also my top 2 but these juries dont feel like a good idea. Its just random peoples and actually has zero significance in terms of what the european audience likes... But then again the eurovision juries are equally random soo... 🤷🏻♂️
What an amazing final, for me, this was definately the best national final for now. I liked them all except Gothminister. Ann Princess and MIIA were much better today than in the semi. But Gate was slaying, deserved winner. I still LOVE LOVE LOVE Ingrid though and I will keep listening to that, I will not listen to Gate on my headphones.
I agree, it’s not something to listen to again and again, but for Eurovision it’s 3 minutes that matter to impress the world and they surely had me impressed.

Strong final I enjoyed every song. Gåte is not my personal favourite but is the right winner. They have the potential to do very well on Eurovision and I love that they bring the Norwegian language to the contest. I was also so annoyed with that Azerbeidzjan man taking ages to get to the points! And I predicted that Denmark were gonna give 12points to Judge tenderly of me, they love that kind of sound there . These juries are not reflecting the juries in ESC. Last year Alessandra won the jury in MGP. She didn’t even come close in ESC.

YEEES for GÅTE!! ❤️❤️ From the first time I heard the song, I loved it and saw its potential on a big stage. The dynamics you know Shane 😉. I had chills!! She sang SO much better this time (except for the final note). I can see this among the top. I couldn't be happier 😊. And my Norwegian friends made a medley of all Sweden's Eurovision songs 🥰. I love you Norway! 💖 And Carola as finisher, still in her element! My 2 favorites from Melfest also went trough, with schlager Elisa as third, also mine. Shane and Georgi, I don't think I need to say more than that you will like this 😀 Perrelli/ABBA combination. Check out the A-Teens medley too, even more ABBA 😊. Hey Shane! Just a small detail. They forgot Charlotte Perellis "Take me to your heaven" in the medley of our winning songs 😄. This evening was so intense with all the NF's to follow, so I didn't notice it until afterwards. (and "Främling" didn't win, but is a classic and loved by many so I was delighted). No big deal because I loved everything, just a note 😊💖

Let's be honst the running order robbed Keiino those points they needed to win. My AI and Damdiggida switched in the running order and Keiino would have won. NRK wanted Gåte to win tho so that's waht happened...

Not to mention that they did not even condemn the massacre by Hamas, but condemn Israel for protecting itself and its citizens from a murderous terrorist organization whose goal is to destroy the state of Israel, the only democracy in the region, and all its millions of citizens.
