  • This is a 26 minute walk from the top of Branksome Woods, near Penn Hill in Dorset, UK all the way down to the sea. You will hear my footsteps, as it was a bit wet. There is one (hopefully subtle) cut as someone stopped me to ask what my strange camera with rubber ears was all about. You will also hear one person speaking as they walk past me (apparently in the process of buying an iPad).
The woods run through the town, so you will hear some of the "roar" of the traffic in the distance. You'll also hear the lovely streams, birds, and various leaves I crunch. You might also hear the tree I headbutted.
This is a "real" binarual recording, using two accurate moulded ears, two Primo EM172 capsules, and a 3D printed "head" to accurately space the ears around my camera. Wear good headphones and - ideally - close your eyes, but that might make you feel a bit motion sick.
I'd love any feedback on these videos. Based on feedback from the last one, I've worn quieter trousers (lol) and made better use of all the 5-axis stabiliser for a smoother shot (although I know it's still not perfect).
