- A recent string of robberies in New York's famous central park have captured the attention of the entire city. While crime in central park had been trending upwards since this spring, these recent robberies were committed by individuals who live in NYC shelters for asylum seekers. To date, robberies in central park are 200% higher than they were last year, and although some blame the asylum crisis for the increase, others say the majority of asylum seekers do not commit robberies and that NY's lax justice system is the real culprit.

You realize his companies pay 50% of the income taxes for every employee... plus business tax.... plus tax on profits.... plus those tax brackets are about 50%. So how many millions in taxes did you pay in 2023? You should try reading before speaking... the richest people in the country pay almost all of the taxes. The poorest actually pay negative since they collect far more than they pay in. I know... facts hurt.
@@wolfe1978nm Don't forget Workman's Compensation which has to be paid for each hourly employee each quarter. They run into the millions for large corporations. I know, I use to process the filing for the State of Minnesota every 4 months. I personally processed million dollar checks for the State from companies like 3M. For States like New York we're talking billions of dollars being paid to the State by companies and corporations every 4 months.
The 1400 a month is extra only for migrants. That's on top of the food stamps, cash assistance, health care and housing they immediately get. A family of 4 would get about 1400 a month in food stamps, 1200 a month in cash assistance, a yearly metro card, and than the 1400 a month on top of that. They also are given a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment that at most they might have to wait 3 months for but in the meantime the shelters for family's would either be in hotel rooms or in their own apartment in an apartment building they just call a shelter until they can move them into an apartment mixed with where working people who are paying 2 or 3 thousand a month for the same apartment live while they pay nothing for their apartment and a check from the goverment goes straight to the apartment building owner each month for the actual cost of rent. Electric is also paid for by the program called HEAP and whatever amount of electric they use that is less than the amount given to the electric company gets refunded back to their ebt cards as cash as well.

This is unreal. I know of a disabled man who is a US citizen and he is legally blind and lives on $1,400 a month. Out of that he has to pay for his own rent, and groceries, and utilities, leaving him with only one or two dollars left over every month. It's much better to be an immigrant. They get Free rent, Free utilities and Free food, and then they get an extra $1,400 per month debit card to buy whatever they want in excess of their basic needs. Wow! Just wow! So who is better off? The disabled citizen or the migrant?

I too an legally blind. I'm pushing my reps to expand the exemption for property tax to the disabled and retired. Vets in my state are exempt.
