BTS’ Jin to Hug 1,000 Fans Post-Military Service at Seoul Fest

  • BTS' Jin, the eldest member of the globally acclaimed South Korean band BTS, is set to reconnect with fans in a heartwarming event following his discharge from mandatory military service. After serving 18 months, Jin was officially discharged on Wednesday, June 12.
    CNN reported that the 31-year-old singer-songwriter will make his first public appearance at the Seoul Fest on Thursday, June 13. During this special event, 1,000 lucky fans who won a raffle will get the chance to receive a hug from Jin, marking his first in-person interaction with the public post-service.
    In addition to this, Jin will perform three of his songs for approximately 4,000 selected attendees at the Jamsil Complex. This event signifies a major milestone in Jin's career, celebrating his service and his heartfelt reunion with fans.
    Jin enlisted in the South Korean military in December 2022, becoming the first BTS member to fulfill this national duty. Reflecting on his military experience during a Weverse livestream from HYBE’s office, he shared, "It was so much fun for the last year and six months. It’s such a relief I met so many good people."
