Ya you right. Whenever we need to solve a problem, we should start with RD manipulation first then go on to other options haha. I even wonder now if caves & cliffs can be done by pearling from build limit to bedrock
It'll be interesting to test, but mainly depends on if the advancement tracks the start and end points or just fall distance. I know it can detect when falling though now, so you'd at least have to be falling while you do it. EDIT: It may just be end points, unless it can detect the full range of where you fall. Because otherwise you could just fly up like 500 blocks and fall to the surface.
Simulation distance works differently than that for some reason. I will try it thought but either way it shouldn’t make that much of a difference as sim distance’s minimum is only 5 chunks while render distance has a limit of 2.
