Aerial A1 by Opeongo is the ideal way to elevate your sleep time in the wilderness! Loving mine. Jacob and Andrew have by far the best customer service as well!
Pre-order now. I am a Kickstarter backer and they are doing a great job keeping us updated on the progress and making sure it is a very high quality tent before shipping. Looking forward to receiving mine! opeongo.camp/collections/all/products/aerial-a1
Sleeping in a suspended tent is like sleeping on a trampoline or water bed. When anyone moves the slightest the whole tent moves like a mini earthquake. There’s nothing like the feeling of a solid ground below you ( air mattress on top of the ground of course) ) It would be nice to have some kind of foldable base that sits on the ground, raises up that you could put underneath the tent’s floor with a height adjustment feature to adjust to most heights up to 10 feet. The flat base part could be made out of tough waterproof neoprene type rubber or foam for comfort that can be firmly attached to the floor of the tent so it doesn’t shift or move. You would have the safety and security of a suspended tent with the stability and simulated solid feel of the ground. Just a thought.
I use both hammock and tent for camping. In most situations tent is way more comfortable, no need for extra under quilt, fewer parts so contrary to what ppl say tent is much lighter and healthier for your back to sleep on a flat surface. There is just hype for hammocks, drones, and it's a bit dumb thing. On another hand, I wouldn't say hammock is a bad option, it certainly has its place, but that depends on where you intend to use it. If you go to areas with rocky ground, and lots of trees that totally is a life savior and better option at the expense of comfort of course. But if you camp on a sandy beach, dessert or area without attachment points, tent still is the way to go. With hammocks there is this mythical rule that to have a comfortable sleep on a hammock you need to lay diagonal, otherwise you end-up in banana shape, and you're "obviously doing it wrong". Well guess what? It's unlikely that you will stay diagonal whole night, people move during sleep, and even in diagonal position tent offers way more comfort. But hey! If you pay $$$ for a fancy hammock, it's unlikely that you going to admit that on a RUclips channel, right? :)
I know Shug and if he can not say something nice about a product he will not post a review on it. As a long time hammock camper, I have yet to see any of these items being used by backpackers, too heavy and bulky
I just tried the haven and it's a gimmick! The design is horrible, worst than a normal hammock. If you're misaligned in any way the whole floor will shift

You spelled the first one wrong in your video.."opengo" should be "opeongo".
I really like hammock
Om surprised that the Amok is not mentioned. Is it because they don’t have an affiliate program or something else?
I think they just made a list, we haven't paid a cent for this nor was any affiliate thing even linked by the looks of it.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Molto bene grazie Evitaeterna.-ñ-ñ-.
Tarzan don't have one of these. So I'm not buying. Thnx 4 d info.
My neighbor got mauled by a bear in one of these hanging tents. He survived but said the bear ripped the zipper and was trapped.
Its really too bad that shugs personality can not be incorporated in to equipment demo videos
