eh... but who can you help with just getting by? only yourself. it's actually selfish and a form of pride- self righteousness and false humility. Jesus became poor so we could become rich. and not just 'spiritually' either.

this IS great gain. pursuing money in greed or fear isn't what God wants, but neither is not being able to... establish a church/school in Africa. just an example.

what people do not understand is that having more, allow Christians to help others and to help the gospel spread through out the world. It's not a good witness just getting by! So much to be said about this topic. I'm going to keep it short!

@Thawne1338 we started an honest business. Got an angel invester. And things worked out from. My mom pray to Christ all the time. I was born Christian. Lost my way, and found my way back. No corruption intact.

money itself isnt evil, it’s a piece of paper.
however, we can properly use our financial gift to not only help others in the name of God, which furthers the Kingdom of Christ.

This is a good message and I needed it. People often get hung up on the rich man going to heaven being like a camel through the eye of the needle. Job was a wealthy man yet he was upright and other examples in the Bible refute this idea

Amen, you explain these so well, here is my take: Money should be kept from controlling you or making you proud and not humble, rude and not nice, thinking your better then other people and caring about being better, which is all against God. Remember to tithe which I don't hear people talking about (giving a certain percent of your income to God) and do not chase after money more or the same amount as you chase after God, chase after God far more and prioritize him over any amount of money, even a billion dollars. Who agrees?
