We hope you enjoyed our World Championships Vlog 🇩🇰 What do you think - could Greg do an Ironman tomorrow? 👀 Also, if you’re interested in joining our Patreon, here’s the link - www.patreon.com/badmintoninsight 😊🏸
You know what’s great about you two. Your honesty and vulnerability. Coming on these journeys with you is so insightful. Both for what happens in the comps but what is happening with you both. You talk openly about your trials and tribulations. You wear your hearts on your sleeve and bring us all along.
I love how they show a badminton pro player's life as basically just having fun, showing us that a competition is not intimidating if you have the right mindset, and enjoying their time whilst focusing on their matches and goals.
Thank you both for taking us to experience an amazing world championship! Love it! Inspite of a big tournament, keeping your fans in mind haven't gone unnoticed ♥️
Good run, Jenny and Greg! Hope you guys win more next time. I’d also love for you guys to create a video explaining the different badminton events. What it takes and how difficult it is to be world champions. I think it will help grow the fanbase if people understood storylines.
You guys provide great training videos and fun challenges, but I also really love your vlogs. We get to see the “behind the scenes” of a pro badminton player and how your interaction with other players are on tour. Take care of your injury and can’t wait for your next video!
Jenny and Greg, thanks for sharing us, your subscribers and watchers, what's going on inside the championship. I've got wide range of emotions watching your games, thanks a lot again.
Getting to the world championships is already a win! Great video and sharing the fighting spirit - no training for two weeks, stiff neck, and just got married. Full marks for resilience!
I'm impressed on how calm you are before this major tournament matches, every time I have a tournament I'm so stressed ! Love your vlog videos, keep up the good work
Hey! Don’t beat yourself up. I think you guys did great! Despite being injured and not training for a period of time, your performance still well-exceed our expectations! What’s more is the courage and commitment to continue playing despite the pressure (high skilled opponents/world championship) and Greg’s injury😊. The fact that you guys are a married couple, are still passionate for badminton together AND are making exceptional entertaining and educational badminton content (which I have never seen any other badminton players do as of date)….You guys are doing amazing! You might not be the World best badminton players, but you’re drive and determined spirit are simply extraordinary😊. Honestly, I’ve been adopting a lot of your advice you post on your channel. Maybe someday, we’ll get to I love to play together (and teach me a thing or 2 😜)! But for now, rest well and keep up the good work!!
Hey! Thank you so much for your very nice comment, it's made our day reading this 😊 It means a lot that you notice and appreciate our efforts into making this content whilst playing ourselves 🏸☺️
Hey! A bit late to the party. Just catching up on my RUclips subs. Just wanted to say your content is absolutely brilliant! The graphics, up close and personal view into your life and all the hard work you put in, both on the court and the editing is top notch. By far the best Badminton channel in RUclips! I’ve learnt so much and really enjoy everything you share. A big thank you! You’re awesome! :) Matt.
Just finished watching the mixed doubles finals, So sad to see Zheng/Huang loose, but also congrats to the new champions Seo/Chae!!! Love your videos Greg and Jenny, keep up the good work and good luck with your next tournaments. Also gl recovering from your neck pain
That was a good vidéo greg no need to wait the next to enjoy your content ! i can feel how sad you are at the end and i'ts really normal with how the situation turn out . Wish you the best recovery possible , and congrats for the wedding to both of you !
Sending hugs from Malaysia! Thanks alot for your vlog, it feels better to know players do feel highly pressured when in high level games n felt hard to overcome it. May Greg recovered well soon n good luck to both of you on next tournament 😊
Great to watching you guys at the World Championships 2023. Can even feel the pressure just looking at your tournament😅 Hope Greg feels better by now! All the best to your next move!!
SHEEESH PLAY OF THEY DAY!!! Tough luck on the neck but so proud of u guys. Love your attitudes toward life and the sport and enjoy watching all ur positive content❤❤❤
Really love this kind of vlog that took us to the "behind" of the tournament 😊 Great video content and editing 🏸 Really enjoyed every second of watching it
Very happy that you all still decided to play. Congratulations on the win in the first match, played really well despite the limitations. So is the next video is greg doing the ironman 😏
"get it a like , if you do really like it" nice quote, unlike others who are like directly telling the viewers to like their videos regardless of the viewers perpspective. kudos to you, I always give a like to your videos.
I think he COULD do an Ironman but unsure how good he is at swimming! Great vlog, really ‘insightful’ as well as entertaining - I enjoyed watching it the on tv 😁 Don’t forget the 🏸
thx for showing us the way you guys prepare....i have a tournament coming up next week really nervous. Prepared the best i could with mix doubles partner i think and this will definitely help me prepare for it better on game day.... i love your videos because i am also left handed and my partner is right handed so it helps watching your videos hope i can get better results compared to the last tournament i played with my partner😆
Crazy to see you guys play against Tomic in your first game in the World Championship. Last season he played for my hometown club in the 2nd Bundesliga in Germany. So interesting to see how each player goes their individual way. :)
Think this is actually one of your better vlogs guys, it's the truth, you're not always 100% and love you dare to show this. Regarding the Ironman, this could create at least 3 vlogs ;-) Keep up the good work and loved I was in again in the YDO22 part ;-)
Another great video. Greg's first round net shot making the bwf shot of the day ( I don't believe it!) Hard luck in the second round, but hey you don't get to be the number 3 seeds for nothing. And most importantly congratulations on your lovely wedding.
Really enjoyed the vlog, really cool to see the World Championships through both your eyes! Hope that even though you felt like you weren't able to bring your best game on that match that you both gained something invaluable! Come back stronger, I'm rooting for the Mairs/Mairs pair! P.S. Get well soon Greg!
To be fair, if Greg trained for an ironman, his endurance would be amazing for badminton as well. A tone of respect for pushing yourself with your neck, it was very easy to just say you can’t do it, recover swiftly ❤
Congratulations to you both! And thanks again for the exellent content. Re-asking my question from April, I would love to hear your take on the speed of shuttles: In practice games, my partner and I tend to use cheaper shuttles of varying quality, which quite often (~50% of the time) results in us having to add weight to the head of the shuttle (blue-tac) in order for our shuttles to pass the speed test specified by the rules. We opted for this solution thinking that we would be training ourselves to play with shuttles of "proper-ish" speed without having to discard half of our shuttles all the time. However when participating in club tournaments, the rules specify that we should play with the shuttles that the club stocks in their refrigerator, which are the Victor smash it #1's. While these are expensive high-quality shuttles, no "official" speed testing has ever taken place, and it seems like my partner and I are the only players concerned with the random slowness of the shuttles during play. According to our own tests, an average of 5/12 shuttles from a new, sealed tube are be too slow for our courts, yet in the tournament, the full dozen always enters play, and nobody seems to care. So my question is as follows: how does this work in pro level tournaments? You mentioned that Greg got to test the shuttles at one point in your "Malaysia Open 2023 behind the scenes" video; I would love to learn more. Furthermore, given that there is variance in the skill and power levels of individual players (particularly for club players), one could make the argument that there is a lot of subjectivity when it comes to testing shuttles. As a mediocre club player, how can I be sure that it's shuttle that's too slow, as opposed to my under-arm stroke just being bad? It goes without saying that high variance in shuttle speed will mess with your shot timing and length, but we are reluctant to make a fuss about it. It is, afterall "only a club tournament". Is this something that we just need to learn to deal with? For what it's worth, a British coach named Paul Stewart has some articles corroborating this effect.
there's nothing wrong or not-as-good about this video. you had this acute neck episode and it's going to affect things and you were just keeping it real. jen had a great attitude though, seemed almost happy to be the stronger one for once. 'you ok in the back?' [cuz i can handle it if you want, hun]. thanks for al the great work and the way you guys get badminton out there
No need to apologize sir! This vlog was awesome, I have no idea what you're talking about with it being "not the best vlog" pfft - I hope to get more BTS in the future :)
Greg, get better soon! Such a terrible timing for your neck problem :( Congrats on your wedding and wishing you lots of happiness together & foerever :)
I quite understand how you feel with your lower back Jenny. I suffer from lower back problems and do what I can on court. I only play once a month really should play more often. Just glad that I can still play. Hope Greg’s neck is better.
I wanted to see your match live on RUclips, and it was 3 a.m. here in China but I don't know what happened, they didn't show it. Wish you both recover very soon and practice harder, we waana see you competing high rank players again.. 🎉🎉
Hey, great job with the World Championships! You both are outstanding! Can't wait to see more videos. Also, when your musceles are cramped up, i recommend putting ice on those parts to help loosen. If it doesn't work, you can try taking a cold shower instead of a hot one. Works for me!:)) Good luck to you both on your next tournament🥰
Watched the whole of your first round match, and both of you were amazing! Couldn’t tell that Greg was playing with such a severe injury, but being called a Wizard of the racket despite not training for 2 weeks is something to behold😂 really great stuff guys! All the best in all your upcoming tournaments!🏸
Love your vids and grat vlog! Also questions when are you guys planning on doing another Q&A And when you do question i'd like to ask and answered would be are you guys planning on starting a family? And if so when do you think is a great time? Love you both! And hopefully you guys someday be the best mixed doubles

Greg is legendary on jump smash and deception
Perhaps let the neck heal before doing an Ironman...otherwise Greg could do one nae bother! :)
Obviously he would be in the Top 10! 💪🏼
Hmm not sure about the Ironman to be honest 😊
