* Should develop oneself to expertise level or should be able to crack the entrance exam then the graduate would be able to get employed
* Misconception : would have to deal with hard labor by lifting weights etc... Discrimination would be general in any field,one should not consider the insults thrown at them
* Career opportunities : production, design, development, research, testing, analysis are all Branches of mechanical engineering.
- 5838 cores is made by India in the production of toolsand
- Ashok Leyland,lnt,royal Enfield, BDL,tata grps are the big known manufacturing companies where they maintenance and over calling of the used product
- There would be an gap in between the syllabus and the skills required at present industry
- 5612 vacancies for mechanical engineer is required at TN on a daily basis
To become a researcher
- One should be able to love their respective field in order to work at research field
- Students aspiring to become researcher can attend internships available at iits and nits to work in their lab and be able to upskill their skills
- Patience, interest is required for a person who would like to become a researcher.Sometimes you would not get what you reap so you should be able to tolerate your results you got regarding your work
- A separate sector called Research and Development is available at companies where a researcher is required
- Roles and responsibilities of a researcher :

- would have to teach to btech students
- learn, relearn and would have to teach others
* Complexities of mechanical and aerospace : if the basics and understanding of the concepts at physics and maths are done well at 10th,11th and 12th one would be able to cope well in the department
* if you are interested in maths , physics and computer you can pursue this course
Skills required for mechanical engineer: soft skills( communications), hard skills - learn to operate a CNC machine, software: 4 diff softwares = -coding(phython,Matlab,java)
-Cad software (solid works , cation, student version and lot more)
-Finite analysis software
-CFD - computational fluid dynamics

@@Vicksan-ud7zi one thing I can tell you, don't choose this field if you're looking for salary. Just do with passion and engage your skills in it. I don't have knowledge about salary package in India. Focus on what you need.

Issue with the company's mindset, a quality engineer will not be recruited in production, even a field service engineer will not be recruited in factory maintenance. This is not the case in civil or IT. Looks like we have more mech engrs than what is required.
