This is a very interesting cross. Very nice results for 1st cross.. I have also found that crossing my dumbo mosaic males to red tail females I ended up with HUGE peck fins. I have done this cross a few times and now have really really big, nice colored peck fins locked in. Uploaded a video of one of my older breeder males from this cross if you would like to take a look and let me know what you think. Don't judge his tail. He was beaten up awhile back by a female (that I culled) and got torn up.I thought she was trying to kill him... He has healed nicely though.
@@HCAqua I crossed to red tail dumbo females with the largest peck fins I had....sorry forgot to edit my comment. I do believe it is the female line that passes on the strongest dumbo traits. So far I have gotten 100% dumbos. I have crossed back to the red tail dumbos every 5th or 6th gen to get the extreme peck fins I have going now.
Those are similar in that it carries the magenta gene, but it's a different strain from mine. Mine is a cross with dumbo red mosaics. Looks like rhe one you have is a cross with a half black
hekko. It woud be of great use to know if half blacks have any MALE dominat gene.. see the problem is I have only a male HB white.. can you answer my question?
