Hi, I have a question about the transmission forks, I have two type C forks, both removed from yz250f 2005. One is marked 5NL 5 and the other 5NL 8 so I wonder if you know what the difference is? Are both original for that engine?
I would get some cerakote i have a 2010 yz250f and I did the oem cover with the burnt bronze that everyone uses it looks super nice, It will be like 100 bucks around there but you get the catalyst(hardener) when you buy the paint anyways so your just buying the paint and it stretches way way farther then I ever imagined I bought a pint bottle and I havent even used half the bottle or half the hardener and I've done my dads covers clutch cover triple trees, my triple trees and my brothers side covers so it goes a long ways. Also go to princess auto and grab there cheap powder coating system same with the powder on prismatic powders its really not that expensive, I found going to a paint shop and having to buy the paint reducer and hardener I was in it 150 bucks but the cerakote is cheaper was shocked
Good video over all but hate you didn't slow down exactly where you placed the shift forks and how to put the transmission back , thats where time lapsed kills the whole video 💯
Thank you for this video, really helpful! Can you confirm the cooking temperature is in farenheit please? 330°F : approx 160°C? If so, I am planning to set oven around 150°C and bearings in freezer at -20°C. Cause I am affraid to affect aluminum alloy mechanical resistance by annealing... You think it will go as easy as you with this method Thank you again from Switzerland!
@@northernmx5973 Can you test the shift mechanism before sealing the cases? ive been messing with mine for awhile now and it isnt shifting properly so i was afraid to seal the cases back together but when i watched this video you sealed the cases before testing the tranny?

I’m already all set up to powder coat so I’m going do that. Cerakote is definitely a great option too
Hey should the water pump spin with the crank and whole motor? Or should it make like a noise and only grab sometimes?
Should be spinning always man. If your pump is doing what you described you have a problem
Can you confirm that there is a check ball in the oil pump?
Amigo a minha moto mucha a embreagem quando fica numa trilha muito garrado
certifique-se de que há folga no cabo

Hey sorry for the late reply. But if you heat up the cases to 300F and cool the bearings to -20 they should fall right in Cheers!

@@isaakbartlett7946 probably be pretty hard to test the shifting out without putting cases together.
The bearing with dust seal is in the wrong position
Where's all the throwing stuff, cursing, and screaming?
Time lapse hides most of that haha!
Should definitely powder coat those parts
It would look sick
