As a woman, I believe the majority of us feel insecure about our bodies. Even gorgeous, perfect women feel that way. Heartbreaking that the pressures put on women are so heavy. But, it's becoming pressure for men as well, I never knew that.
Katie is a stunner when they showed her style her makeup her hairstyle, the cute supportive fiancé my goodness I thought now this girl has it all. I know body dysmorphia is in the mind she really can’t see it and it broke my heart to hear her say that.
It’s not so much being picky ..the issue is they are afraid of making a decision because it could be a mistake. Insecurity plays a huge part in people who are indecisive.
I wanted something flowy when I went dress shopping. I tried on several beautiful dresses that just didn't give me that feeling. My mom asked me to try on a dress she'd picked. It was more of the princess style. I cried. It was exactly what I'd drawn as a little girl when I drew wedding dresses. It was the dress I walked down the aisle in. Love that dress!!
I'm so glad David was honest about this being a difficult appointment. I hate it when people lie to my face about how stressed they obviously are, it adds an unnecessary layer of insecurity about why they deem me unable to hear the truth.
You do know it's all scripted, I'm sure. There's nothing real about the "reality" shows---every single thing is by the script, with an entire production crew right there telling them what to do, how to do it, what to say, how to react, endlessly blathering and incredibly boring. There's nothing at all "honest" about any of what the viewers see. Also, this particular episode was filmed about ten years ago...
These are real brides and real people- they aren’t actresses. Yeah there’s some scripted stuff but the reactions are very very real. I had a cousin on that show getting a dress and she explained exactly how it went.
@@jb6712 JC, did I call you out in another video, and now you're trying to get revenge? My point still stands that I prefer for people to not be fake nice to my face.
I think all of u r right. Some is scripted but most is real.I do think they pull the worst dresses first to show how beautiful the bride is in her own selection.....
I've been dress shopping with some brides. It's not about what dress you think looks best on her. It's about what dress makes her smile from ear to ear. Even if you like another dress better if she is excited about a dress don't dump a bucket of water on her (so to speak) just because it's the dress you like.
So many lovely memories of dress shopping both when I got married and when my daughter was married. It was like we were 2 peas in a pod in that I put together entire wedding for myself in 6 weeks and she did nearly the same thing. Although my wedding was beautiful I think my daughter’s wedding was even more special. And when she put on the 5th dress, it was so beautiful and so “her”. She did not even require 1 alteration! Her wedding was at the tail end of COVID restrictions and we had some beautiful masks but we were fortunate that she had her wedding in a beautiful outside garden in Nashville. I’m so happy to say I was able to give her the wedding of her dreams. She already got the best part because her husband is a great guy!
I always love zoes hair. How she gets all that volume and manage to look so beautiful blows my mind. I try so hard and just can't pull it off like she does.
Go to your hair dresser and show her a pic of Zoe. Tell her this is the effect you want and ask them to style you and explain the process step by step. That's how I style mine.
That was the old method called "ratting." We did it back in the 1960s. Super easy to do, utter destruction to the hair, and requires a ton of hairspray (or whatever y'all use now. I refuse to ever do that kind of damage to my hair again). She doesn't do her own hair; there's a hairdresser, a makeup "artist," an entire production crew telling all of them what to do, what to say, where to stand, how to react, blah, blah, blah, endlessly boring.
@@jb6712 It actually looks rather fascinating to me but we can't all enjoy or be fascinated by the same things. I daresay this would have been something I would have tried with my hair when I was younger and had considerably longer hair then I do now.

I understand that the entourage may like another dress better, but ultimately it is the bride's call. If they like the dress that the bride loves, that should be it. If they absolutely hate it, that would be different. But, in the end, it is just one part of a ceremony to celebrate a marriage. If the bride feels like a bride in her pick, she should feel empowered to find her voice.
I have never understood why some brides want a princess style ball gown for a destination wedding especially if the destination has a warm to hot climate. Getting it there and back home is one set of problems and wearing it for several hours in searing heat is another.
Me neither. I can't imagine packing the dress or the nightmare of shipping it overseas without 100% assurances nothing will go wrong. I know princess dresses are more comfortable than really fitted designs, but they are also usually hotter. For me, I would need to consider each dress with respect to those two considerations. It would not be easy with a destination wedding.
