- Several viewers have suggested this group of three ladies, called The Warning. This is very early in their musical careers, and a cover of a Metallica song, "Enter Sandman". They were impressive, and even more so when age is considered.

I realise you came here for the Warning, but maybe check out some other Mr and Mrs Coach reactions too 😉 They are great fun. For instance you may not be interested in Kpop or you've listened and it's not your thing. That's all fine. Everyone to their own taste. However, you never know unless you try. You know even DPA like Kpop and have even been heavily influenced by it at times 😁. I also remember Pau and Ale singing Karaoke to Lisa (of Blackpink) song Money. 😂

In this video Dany guitar and lead was 14, Paulina drums and backup singer 12 and Alejandra bass and backup singer 9. They are now 23,21, and 18 and taking over the rock scene. Try "Disciple" from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 08/29/2022 to see how far these young women have come.

I was so confused by this because a while ago I had seen a video with 3 adult sized women called The Warning and then started watching this and they’re so young I thought it was a different group, but now I realize the video is almost a decade ago.

The Enter Sandman Trifecta that we love to see done is, The official Re-imagined version Music video done, at the end of 2021, and then the official Live version done, at the Aug 2022 Teatro Metropolitan in front of a sold out crowd. This later version is them turning the song upside down, sideways, & inside out, yet staying truthful to the over all song. This version was included on Metallica's 30th Blacklist anniversary LP, and all profits go to charities. These ladies still play it for every concert, and is the only cover they do anymore.

These ladies r full grown young adults, signed to a major U.S. record label. They have spent the last 2 years touring, North, Central, and South America, including the U.S. and Canada. They have opened for and toured with Guns n Roses, Foo Fighters, Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, and, most recently, toured Europe opening for Muse. In August of this year, they played at the MTV VMA's and blew the world's mind. Oh yeah, they recorded a new version of Enter Sandman for Metallica's Blacklist album for the 30-year anniversary of the Black album.
Their 4th album is in the can. Try any OMV or lyric video from their most recent album, Error. Also, anything from their concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX in 2022 will show what they have become.
Three sisters from Monterrey, MX. They started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today they are Dany, guitarrist 23, Pau, drummer 21, and Ale, bassist 18.
In 2022 they did over 100 gigs in North and South America along with Foo fighters, Halestorm, the Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace, and Guns ‘n Roses. Earlier this year they did four shows with Muse in Mexico and finished 18 shows on the first US leg of their world tour. They then did concerts throughout Europe including opening for Muse five times in the UK and France. Many of these had 30-60 thousand fans in attendance. They recently completed the second leg of their US tour, played at the MTV VMAs, and opened for Guns N’ Roses. They just finished a spectacular tour of South America and are touring Mexico for the rest of 2023. In February of 2024 they will play Shiprock, a rock cruise; in March 2024 they will play at the P’al Norte Festival in Tecate; and in August 2024 they will play the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.
All three are classically trained pianists and Dany & Ale have played sax in the past. All three sing lead and background vocals; but Dany is the principal singer. They were inspired by the video game Rock Band and two of their songs are available on Rock Band IV. They appeared on the Ellen Show in 2015.
They are fully bilingual as they attended a bilingual Catholic school in Monterrey, Liceo de Monterrey. But later they all graduated high school through home schooling due to their touring schedule. They attended Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston in 2015.
They started as a cover band. Their cover of Enter Sandman launched their career. They now have 49 original songs in an EP, three albums, two singles, and two unreleased but performed songs. No bad songs. Their newest released single, More, came out May 12th. Two new unreleased songs were debuted at their Guadalajara concert. They have a rich collection of live videos, music videos and lyric videos on their channel. There are also vlogs and individual performances. Any video from the August 2022 concert at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City is gold!
When not performing they are humble down to earth individuals. Dany is a goofball and sweetheart, Pau talks with passion like a machine gun, and Ale is an introvert and a perfectionist.

Three sisters from Monterrey (MX), they started playing the “Rock Band” video game and then learned the real instruments. Their parents created the RUclips channel to show their progression to their grandparents and relatives. This “Enter Sandman” cover blew up overnight and one year later they released their first original music on an EP (“Escape the Mind”). In 2017 they released their first full length album (“XXI Century Blood”), followed a year later by a full-blown rock opera (“Queen of the Murder Scene”) and in 2020 they signed with Lava Records (a label of Universal), becoming “the first Mexican band under a US major label’s wings”. @@CoachCastTV They are and not only for their age! I heard that Pau and Ale were a bit mad at Danny because while they were rehearsing their parts for the cover, she was in front of a mirror working on her “James Hetfield face”.
I think their evolution is interesting because they never tried to show off their skill in their compositions, they are not insecure about their musical abilities and they’re just having fun performing. That's what makes them fun to watch!

They are bad ass Rock stars now, and some of the most talented young women I've ever seen. If you haven't seen any of their recent stuff, I definitely would. My suggestions would be "Disciple" live from Teatro metropolitan (or anything live at that venue. They have 22 songs they put on their channel) or "Evolve" live from the 2023 VMA awards.

Their live version from Teatro Met of this song will blow you away they were asked by Metallica to cover it with Alessia Cara and they reimagined it the only rule from Lars was don't change the lyrics. Meet the Villarreal Velez sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. Daniela (Dany , age 23 today) on guitar and most lead vocals , Paulina (Pau 21) on drums and some lead vocals, and Alejandra (Ale 18), on bass. Ale will sing lead if they need her too. They were 14, 12, and 9 in this. Ale is playing a 3/4 size bass.
3 full albums, a 4th on the way, and several EP's. The Warning and Canadian singer Alessia Cara reimagined this song for the Metallica Blacklist album(30th anniversary of the Black album).
They have opened for Foo Fighters, Halestorm, 3 Days Grace, Guns'N"Roses, Muse. And are scheduled to play the Wacken Open Air metal festival in Germany next year.
TW are great live, try anything from the 2022 Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert, suggest "Disciple" and the reimagined version of Enter Sandman. Also they played 2 songs at the MTV VMA's just a couple months ago, "Evolve" and "More".

This is a great band tk fall into the rabbithole with. Not only because of the music but these ladies are great human beings and love their fans interacting through social media more than any bands i know of. Soon after this video ther were writing their own songs and killing it. Its been said they dont write any bad songs. My favorite band for sure. Metallica asked them to do the song on their blacklist album and told them to make it their own. I missed seeing them when they came to Boston as it was the same weekend as Blackpink

The Warning just played live on the MTV music awards show two months ago. Look for the song EVOLVE. You won't believe it.

In this video they have been playing together for two years. The location is the "Warning Cave", the basement in her parents' house. They still rehearse and develop their songs today. But they now have a record deal and so a producer will take another look at it later. But since they have already released two albums and an EP, it is not always easy for him to get through with his suggestions. Or as he put it: "They defended their songs like lionesses."
There are two other versions of the song. In 2022 she was asked to record a new version for Metallica's Blacklist album, this time in Warning style:

Fun fact: when they make their first public appearance they need a band name, which they don't have. A few days before they had discussed what they would call the first album. Instead of the band name, just this time they use the album name: The Warning. Temporary restorations can be very long-lasting. There first release will be an EP called Escape the Mind.
Metallica invited them to do a version for their Black List album which three Warning did with Allessa Cara in 2021or so

You'll see some difference of opinion in the comments on their ages in this video. They recorded this video about a year before it went viral. That's the reason for some of the confusion, i think. At the time of recording, Dany (Guitar and Lead Vocal) was 13, Pau (Drums and Backing Vocals) was 11, and Ale (Bass and Backing Vocals) was 8. All three are classically trained pianists as well. Dany and Ale also play Saxophone. Pau sings Lead Vocals on about 20% of their songs while playing drums. She has been doing that from a very early age and she can do it without her voice shaking with the effort. For proof, check out the song "23" from their August 2022 performance at Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City (CDMX). Although Ale is the youngest, she is the tallest of the trio. Currently, Dany is 23, Pau is 21, and Ale is 18. As others in comments have alluded to, there is a more recent cover of Enter Sandman that they teamed up with pop singer/songwriterAlessia Cara to record for the Metallica Blacklist album, the 30th anniversary of the Black Album compilation of covers from 52 artists. The Warning's cover is really a reimagining of the song as they followed Metallica's instructions to a Tee, dissecting and rearranging the song to their own style but keeping the original lyrics. They also performed this cover at the Teatro Metropolitan concert, a slightly modified arrangement with Dany covering all of Alessia's vocals as well as her own. TW no longer do covers and except for the one departure from that rule to do the updated cover of Enter Sandman, they have been doing only original music for almost 8 years. They have released two EPs, and three full albums. They are currently with Lava/republic records (as of 2020) and have a five album deal. They recently recorded their second studio album under Lava (their fourth overall), which should be releasing in early 2024.

A little history Dani (guitar/vocals) and Pau started playing Rock Band the game and then Ale joined with the bass. They did this song and it went viral and they ended up on the Ellen show who gave them some money and a seminar at Berklee school of music where they got some training. Great 1st time reaction to The Warning Coaches!
The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
They have recently finished recording their 4th studio album: no name or release date yet.
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs (and recently finished recording their 4th studio album). They recently performed 2 songs at the MTV VMA's.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.

If the former, I suggest their cover of Foo Fighters -The Pretender next. If you want to come directly to their current performances, anything from the Teatro Metropolitan 2022 show in Mexico City ( CDMX) or both of their recent songs (“More” and “Evolve”) from the 2023 MTV video Music Awards. They recently played their largest headliner show to date ( over 8,000 people) and Fans are hoping for the release of more pro-shot concert footage.

Any song from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX in Mexico from August of 2022 is amazing. The whole concert is on RUclips and the video and sound quality are superb. Some songs you may want to check out from that concert are Dust to Dust, z, Disciple, When I am Alone, and 23 to see all facets of what they can do. They are taking the world by storm and have supported bands like Muse, Guns and Roses, Foo Fighters, Three Days grace and a few others as opening acts. They also toured as the main band and have played many festivals. Hope to see more reactions this band as they are amazing and do not have a bad song. Trust me on that. The last song you hear from them is your favorite, until the next song you hear. Great reaction to this as this is really when they started to get noticed as the video went viral.

Please do a follow up reaction to this to their newest version of the cover. The live from Teatro metropolitan is the one to watch. They completely rearranged the song in their own style and it is amazing. Their original music is also amazing. You can pretty much pick any song from that teatro metropolitan show or one of the two mtv music awards live performances to see what they have going on more recently. So good live. Even better than in studio.

So many things to say.
Let me start by saying that these girls made me watch MTV after 3 decades. And I know that I am not alone.
14, 12, and 9. They just celebrated their 10th anniversary
*a little history:*
many of us (shout out to TWA aka The Warning Army!) have been following DPA/TW (Dany, Pau [like "POW!"], and Ale [like "Ah leh"] aka "The Warning"), three sisters from Monterrey Mexico, since or before their first videos as a band started to hit the streams back in 2012... they are, to many of us, like daughters, nieces, or grand-daughters...
in 2014 this video of them doing a cover of Metallica's *Enter Sandman* from the "Black" album went viral... they were 14 (Dany), 12 (Pau), and 9 (Ale) years old at the time the video was uploaded to YT because it was too big to email to their grandparents and other family members... they went on vacation for a couple of weeks and came back to a viral video with their father's phone blowing up from all the notifications coming in... they did a few other covers but were also writing their own music, as well... they decided pretty early to not become known as a cover band... so they started releasing their own music...
in 2021, DPA/TW answered a call from Metallica to take a song, any song, from the "Black" album, twist it around, upside down, and backward... keep the lyrics but make it something else... DPA/TW teamed up with Alessia Cara, a Canadian Pop and R&B artist, to reimagine *Enter Sandman* as a more haunting, eerie, and dark lullaby than the metal original... they did this in 10 days, during Covid, with Alessia working from remote in Canada... today, Nov 2023, there are four renditions of *Enter Sandman* done by DPA/TW... the original true cover that went viral, the OMV of the reimagined with Alessia, DPA/TW playing it live in concert, and the latest one with an added 10-piece string section accompanying in concert... all of the concert renditions somehow come out even darker and more foreboding, bringing almost constant chills to some fans when they hear or experience it...
DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 3 and 5 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar)... Ale (bass) wasn't even born yet... they started with piano and classical music... Ale also started on piano when she was old enough... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along...
Pau gravitated to the drums and Dany the guitar... Ale chose the bass even though she didn't know what it was at first... the bass was Ale's second choice for an instrument... originally she wanted to play the harp... they couldn't find anyone to teach her harp, though, so the bass it is, to everyone's delight! her original 4-string bass was a 1/2 size bass which was quite big for her... later she went to a 3/4 size 4-string bass... today, Ale has several bass guitars but she mostly plays her Specter 5-string... since she was 15 years old, Ale is a Specter Featured Artist... her Specter bass has a 35" neck on it and the coloring on the body is named "Ale's Inferno"... not long after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band and here we are, today...
Pau is a powerful force behind her drums... in her younger days, she was likened to "Animal", the drummer on The Muppets... she put her entire body into every stroke... it was quite joyful watching her in action... she has refined her form in recent times but she still has a powerful swing and a much stronger sound... some like to say that "she beats her drums like they owe her money!" LOL since she has refined her form, she also doesn't break as many sticks as she used to... when she did break one, she seamlessly replaced it without losing a beat and many times no one ever even noticed... pure professionalism, there... in one of their interviews, Pau comments about having been playing the drums for 13 years... that was two years ago so she has 15 years under her belt, now... Pau also takes lead vocals on several songs while she is playing her drums... there are not very many singing drummers in the world, today... she does aerobic exercises and running while singing to keep up her stamina and breath control... she's been singing while playing the drums since her early years... you can find videos of Pau doing drum covers when she is like 8 or 9 years old...
Dany is a goofball and total guitar nerd... she has numerous guitars in her arsenal... PRS, Rick Toon Spearfish, Manson, Gibson Explorer (gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm), and more recently, a mustard yellow Manson was given to her by Matt Bellamy of Muse, one of the band's bigger influences... DPA/TW have covered several of Muse's songs and more recently they have opened for Muse in Mexico and the UK numerous times... hearing Dany make her Mansons sing is quite the treat... especially when seeing them live... Dany is also the main lead singer for the group... she has quite a range (one vocal coach says Dany can hit D5) and can growl or put gravel in her tone when needed... she easily expresses emotions with her voice and her facial expressions drive it all home while she is singing...
Ale and Dany both use Orange Amps to drive their sound... the three of them, together, create a huge wall of sound that flat out pummels you when you see them live...
today the girls are 23 (Dany - Jan 30 2000), 21 (Pau - Feb 5 2002), and 18 (Ale - Dec 13 2004)... they have just released the full concert they did at the Teatro Metropolitan (Metropolitan Theater) in CDMX (Mexico City) back in Aug 2022... Mexico City (2240m, 7350ft) is higher in altitude than Denver, Colorado (1609m, 5280ft)! certainly higher than their home town of Monterrey, Mexico (540m, 1770ft)... this is mentioned because of the altitude and thin air... when doing strenuous activities, you need more air... in some of their early concerts, you can tell the altitude catches them out a bit... you can find their recent Aug 2022 concert on DPA/TW's YT Videos page as individual videos of the songs or as one video of the entire concert with opening and closing BTS (behind the scenes) added... they may also have a playlist of the individuals so they can be viewed in proper setlist order... the Met Theater in CDMX holds like 3500 and sold out both nights they played (Aug 26th and 29th)...
some huge milestones took place at the 2023 MTV VMAs... 1) The Warning were invited to play two of their songs on the Extended Stage... 2) they were the only ones to play that were not nominated for anything... 3) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the MTV VMAs... those are all quite the achievements! for the VMAs performance, there were four takes shot... two 45 second ones for broadcast and two full length ones for each of their songs, *MORE* and *Evolve* which MTV has posted to their YT channel... DPA/TW have a working relationship with Pepsi in Mexico and have shot several commercials for them... this relationship plus being signed with Lava helped greatly with this milestone in their career, i'm sure...
additionally, this summer (of 2023), they were the first Mexican band to play "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" in Germany in 20 years... they have also been invited to play at the 2024 Wacken Open Air metal festival which is also held in Germany... currently they are completing their fourth album and finishing up their "Error" World Tour which has taken them all over the Americas, the UK, and Europe...
i still can't believe it has been 10 years! it seems like only yesterday i was watching a very young Pau beating her drums into submission and then seeing videos of all three of them playing together as they started their journey...
the rabbit hole is deep and quite enjoyable! come on in, there's plenty of room for more! 😹

I really like how diverse your reactions are both in genres and nationality. Since you've already dipped your toes into Japanese artists, might I suggest that you check out one of my all time favorite rock groups called "One Ok Rock". I think you guys are gonna love them. They are very popular both in Japan and internationally. Their music is very emotional and the lead singer Taka is in my opinion one of the best singers of a generation. He has insane range and power to his voice and you can tell from the live shows that he gives his all to the performance. If this caught your attention, I'd suggest you start with the song "We Are" and I would definitely suggest that you watch the official live video from Ambitions Japan Dome Tour. This is a group that is just infinitely better live.

This was recorded for their grandparents and it was too long to be an email, so they put it on you tube not meant to be out there and it went viral! 12, 10, an 9 are their ages at this point. Dani, the guitarist is 12, Pau the drummer is 10, and Ale the bass guitarist is 9.

This was a recording that was put on Facebook so the family could check them out. Instead it went viral. The rest is history over 50 originals 3 album's 2 Ep's 3 singles? (They have their 4th album finished hopefully it will be out soon).They have opened for most of the great rock bands. All was done before Dany lead turned 23, Pau drums 21 and Ale turns 19 later this month. Fun Fact, this was their 6th take of this song and it wasn't because the messed up Dany kept on insisting on a retaking (Ale and Pau were getting pretty annoyed and were about to mutiny if she made them do another) as she felt her sneer wasn't right. They all have the same attitude to getting it right still today.
